Please help authentifying this VC

Dear members,

See the enclosed picture.

Interestingly the main dial displays seconds only, lower small dial displays hours, top small dial displays minutes.  All work well.

Dial is not in best state, pointers are not original (poor earlier repairs). It does not bear the typical VC Malteser cross, and the "C" in Vacheron is either improperly formed or due to some dirt looks like a "G".

The mechanism inside is properly engraved VC on several pieces, but without the cross again.

Can anyone authenticate and/or identify this watch?

Thanks in advance & Regards

Did you seriously think this was a genuine VC?

The mechanism looks authentic, not the dial. Is there any VC with the displays in such alignment?
