Alex, is that a gray strap on your watch?  If so, is it a VC strap?  I am looking for a gray strap for my salmon dial chrono, and would love a recommendation.  Thanks, Joe
yes its a grey VC strap (nt)

I did a quick check of the photo gallery and there I could not find a 1912 white gold, so here is mine.  It's off to VC to be made "as new".  I miss it already.  HAGWE to everyone, Joe

Why did I sell this, WG?
02/24/2013 - 01:04
It's always the original that is the original! Deployant! Doc
really, why?
02/25/2013 - 15:21
it is perfect!
All I can say, it's hard to choice!
02/22/2013 - 19:53
first a classic and perhaps the cleanest of them all,  Historiques V&C 31045 then of course one of the most beautiful Art Deco from 1939 and an other Historiques, perhaps a little bit to much... and last an upstart that I love This is what it's all about. One day a certain watch talks to you and next it doesn't, so I just can't  go for only one, as a matter of fact, I have several more smiley Cheers Doc

Really love it as art, but hard on a dial. Sorry, dot missunderstand me, but I love very clean dials., and hate tourbillons with big holes in them, just to show off, even if it destroys the watc! Minute repeater is better. Drsreet. 1827. Now at V&C's Museum smiley Doc

I don't have favorite wristshots, so I'll show most recent :-)

I just saw this thread, and was luckily just playing around this Sunday afternoon. Perhaps my favorite wristwatch with sub-seconds: But I was really playing around with my largest wristwatches today.  First, the former size champion, and my only chronograph: at 40mm, a Gen. 1 OS Chrono And my newest size champ, as well as my first Omega:  at 48mm tall x 55mm wide, the Ploprof 1200 This watch is so "not me", but while others consider it ugly...I consider it very cool looking and a real tool watch.  Daisy won a trip to Bali that we will be taking later this year and I thought this watch would be perfect for taking into the South Pacific!  This watch is obviously HUGE, but it does fit quite well on my scrawny wrist.  I don't feel it is at all uncomfortable, though one needs to get used the weight. Here is one last shot with both of them on my wrist to show the difference
That is a very cool new addition, Dan
02/24/2013 - 19:00
The Plorprof is an amazing tool watch as you have already figured out.  I am surprised at how good it looks on your wrist considering you tend to wear the smaller sizes so well.  Lucky you! What variety you have in just those three watches you posted.  All the best, Robert
Thank You Robert!
02/25/2013 - 02:14
I can say the exact same thing about variety when it comes to your collection of VCs as well! BR, Dan

Hi Everyone. This is my first post, i'm new to the watch collecting world. Just bought this ultra slim 6099. Will post more details later.
Welcome Jeremy!
02/25/2013 - 18:15
You do realize that your Ref. 6099 is the watch that the Historiques 1955 is based on? :-) Looks great on your wrist! One thing, it looks like the dial was redone, as this watch was made when the brand was still Vacheron & Constantin. Best Regards, Dan
Welcome to the Lounge Jeremy and congrats on a great watch!
