Questions on Limited edition Traditionelles

Hi everyone,

Hope the day is taking it easy on you all. I quite like the looks of the Traditionelle but I'm really drawn to the boutique-only editions with the guilloche dials (NY, Russia, etc). I believe these are individually sold out in each salon so my question now is whether or not there are new limited edition Traditionelle pieces that are coming any time soon.

If anyone has any thoughts on this I would be grateful, thank you very much. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Take care.

Chris

The guilloché dial in NY is a boutique edition, but not limited. (Unless they stopped making it.)

I just saw the (Japan?) black/rose gold version on Chrono24.

Wouldn't hurt to write and ask. That Moscow edition is gorgeous.

Hi Cactaka,

Good hearing from you, thanks for taking the time to write. I didn't realize the NY version wasn't limited, that's very good to know. Would love to see about acquiring the Moscow piece, I wonder if the boutique has one lying around that was never sold?

I'm afraid to ask- I couldn't say no. Send us a picture of yours when it arrives. smiley

I'm mean, seriously. Clean time only on a slate grey brick guilloché dial complemented with white gold markers/case and powered by an 1120? Love.

I don't recall the NY Boutique having a Boutique Traditinelle?

When the NY Boutique opened, I remember the 3 NY Boutique Editions were:

Cal. 2755

1921

OS Perpetual Calendar

All specific Boutique Editions (i.e., for NY, Moscow, Paris, Tokyo, etc.) are Limited Editions.

There are older Boutique Edition Patrimonies with black dials.  These are not limited editions as far as I know.

Please post a picture of the NY Boutique Traditionelle if you can, my senility might be setting in because I really don't remember it.

Thanks, Dan

Dan,

You are correct. It not a "NY" Boutique Traditionelle- it's available at any boutique. My error.

Yes, this is the one.

I love the colour combination of this one.

Hi Chris, while these specific Boutique Editions are sold out of their respective stores...you may be able to ask your local Boutique if they can contact their sister Boutique to see if there are any pieces still left.  If they are, you might be able to purchase it and that Boutique will transfer the watch to your local Boutique?

Best Regards, Dan

Hi everyone,

Thanks very much for the thoughts on the limited edition Traditionelles, my apologies for the delay in responding. They are all beautiful and very understated. I really do love that Moscow edition - clean, architectural looking dial - would love to track one down. I'll call the NY boutique and see if they can help source one. Barring that I'll have to haunt the auction sites and private sales areas. Will keep you all posted.

You all have a terrific weekend, thank you again.

Let me know if they have 2.

If you find a Moscow Edition

Definitely let me know!  If they have two, I'll take one.  If they have only one, I will offer $100 more than you.

After contacting the boutique, unsuprisingly all 20 of the Ginza Traditionnelle Small Seconds have been sold. No plans to make anymore either apparently. Hopefully another dark dial guilloche version emerges at some point

Hmmm.  Not unexpected. But gives me an opportunity to think about what I would ask for in a atelier cabinotiers special order. Thing is, I'm equally in love with vintage silver starburst and black guilloché.
