A quick look at the YG Historiques 1921

After hearing about a new version of the 1921, I had to visit a VC Boutique in Shanghai.  I went to the newest Boutique at IFC Mall, but only took a quick wristshot of both the YG and RG versions.

This new YG version is only available in China right now, but will be available worldwide in 2015.

I will visit again shortly and take more, and better, pictures.  I personally prefer the RG version.

Even I haven't seen this one in the metal! I guess it gives a more

vintage look to the 1921. Thanks for sharing and looking forward in seeing more scans
It does provide a more vintage look

And I think thats why I like it (YG) on the NY Boutique with the different dial and hands. With the standard dial, I just like the RG look a little bit more.
I really like it!

.
YG looks nice. Looks a bit more vintage. I would be

happy to own either the RG or YG versions.
I only tried the RG version of course but

I only tried the RG version of course but I like the fact that the dial is somewhat greyish especially at certain angles and it contrast elegantly with rose gold. I like to see them both in the metal as I suspect that they are much more different in reality than on photos.   Best,   Stan

To be honest I can't see much difference even in the color of gold!
I often have the same problem

When I see a single watch, I have difficulties at times telling if it is YG or RG. I'll try to get better pictures, with better lighting, next time to be able to contrast them. BR, Dan
Highly depending on the light from my personnal experience

In a shop with artificial light look the same. The light has a limited spectrum.. Outside in the sun light big differences, the sun light is much richer and  the material reflects you all the colour properties. My tip is to always look the watch nearby the entrance door/windows or outside if possible :)
Thanks for the tip!

Now if I can only get Boutique staff to allow me to get near the doors/outside with their watches on my wrist....I would be a very happy person!  angelyes
Both are beauties but the warm glow of the RG appeals to me.

Thanks Dan for sharing. Both are beauties but the warm glow of the RG appeals to me. Now I have another excuse to plan a trip to China smiley
Dan, it's tricky resolving the problem...

The best photographic results, in the given circumstances, are usually achieved using artificial lighting. However, putting that to one-side, your photographic skills are improving significantly and always a pleasure to view. Keep up the good work!yes... Warmest wishes Tony
Thanks Dan for the photos

Of these lovely 1921s. Like you I prefer the rg version. The yg version also has its charm, a more vintage look like the NY LE 1921. Cheers Robin
