Quite fun, and true story !

About 20 years ago my closest friend,

we known each other since we were small kids, forty years ago,

said to me, when I first saw this clock on his office :

" It's nice to view, but it dosen't work. Can you fix it so it works,

you will get it for a bottle of whiskey!"

I took it home and saw an old movement that had abroken mainspring,

and was missing some parts.

But, I got a brilliant idea, and fixed itQuite fun, and true story !

Today it still works perfect keeping time exactly,

that's absolute trueQuite fun, and true story !

Quite fun, and true story !

It's quite charming.

isn't it ?

This is the backside.

Quite fun, and true story !

And this is how I get it going.

Need some change every two years or so Quite fun, and true story !

Quite fun, and true story !

It is not so elegant but you never open the back,

so it stands there and ticks perfectly Quite fun, and true story !

LOL!! That made my day :-)

This is very borderline cheating.... Imagine you send your watch to VC for servicing and that's how they repaird it

I've never seen a "frankenclock" before!Bill

Oh Oh,

I'd better open the back of my watches to make sure they were repaired properly!!

You built quite some tensions as the story went. What a cocnlusion! Now that I got a sample of your narrative skills I can imagine what your V&C book will be like - simply can't wait ;-)
Haha! Doc! you got me on this one. I was expecting something
01/26/2008 - 14:35

else that you have done.

haha! This is brilliant Doc!!

Often the easiest solutions are the best...

As long as you're not doing this to your VCs...

LOL! I hope you don't do heart transplants, Doc...(nt)
01/26/2008 - 15:21

LOL brilliant! How was the whiskey? (nt)

Imaginative Doc!!!

Simplest ideas are the best...

What a transformer?

Did you get a bottle of whisky or a can of beer?

Glad you liked it !
01/26/2008 - 18:58

But apparently some of you seems to be wiskey intersted,

if you read my post, you see that the bottle,

was the price I had to pay,

to get the clock if it worked !

But I think it was cheap,

and the funniest of all,

was to see my friends face,

when he opened the back

So if you have any problems with your watches,

I'll get them going again
