On December 2014 Sotheb'y auctioned this unique pocket watch with minature enamel with an already high estimate of $120,000-$180,000 and selling for an impressive $233,000.
The good thinng is that the watch was snapped up by a Lounger who sent me some photos.
The enamelling was done by Jeanne Vauthey and inspired by 'Le Temps et les Parques' by the Flemish artist Pieter Thys (1644-1677).
The scene depicted in this watch, Le Temps et les Parques, is of the Three Fates, who spin, measure and cut a length of yarn in an allegory for destiny.
This watch was made circa 1930
