Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go to a cocktail organized at the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris to celebrate the beginning of the exhibition "Arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie, les chefs-d'oeuvre de la collection Barbier-Mueller"
A big thank to Vacheron Constantin France, Joséphine Dauriac and Jean-Yves di Martino for the invitation and of course to Alex !
Here are a few pics of the exhibition:
Then, after the exhibition, some doors opened... and we could enter a large room where a small workshop was set up. We were able to see the amazing work of the engraver from Vacheron. In fact, he's not only an engraver, he's also a true sculptor.
It's very impressive to see him working.
The poem from Michel Butor :
His skills are outstanding. You can't imagine how difficult is to produce one tiny mask.
An overall view :
The speech from Juan-Carlos Torres. He explained us the strong links between Vacheron Constantin and Jean-Paul Barbier-Mueller.
