Report of the Vacheron's cocktail (18th of march) in Paris

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go to a cocktail organized at the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris to celebrate the beginning of the exhibition "Arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie, les chefs-d'oeuvre de la collection Barbier-Mueller"

A big thank to Vacheron Constantin France, Joséphine Dauriac and Jean-Yves di Martino for the invitation and of course to Alex !

Here are a few pics of the exhibition:

Then, after the exhibition, some doors opened... and we could enter a large room where a small workshop was set up. We were able to see the amazing work of the engraver from Vacheron. In fact, he's not only an engraver, he's also a true sculptor.

It's very impressive to see him working.

His skills are outstanding. You can't imagine how difficult is to produce one tiny mask.

The speech from Juan-Carlos Torres. He explained us the strong links between Vacheron Constantin and Jean-Paul Barbier-Mueller.

When the guests were about to leave the event, they received two gifts : a superb book about the Barbier-Mueller collection and a "Les Masques" notebook !  What a great surprise !

Merci beaucoup pour partager vos belles photos avec nous tous!

Les masques, les sculptures sont tres magnifiques!

The photos of the artist/sculptor/artisan at work are also very interesting and show how delicate a procedure is involved in their creation.

And it looks like everyone was having a great time.

How long is the show on?

Regards,

Joseph

A great moment with Alex and few other loungers!

Thanks again Alex and VC for this event!

My heart skips a beat each time I see those watches! The evening was
