Respo, this one is for you. Last Saturday, there was

a VC event in my hometown of Kolkata in India, and they managed to bring a few pieces for display. VC in India is tied up with a well known photo gallery called 'Tasveer', which means photo in Hindi. (This is similar to the way they are tied up with the Opera in France). So the event was a joint VC Tasveer event.  I have asked VC to send me photos so I can do a spresd on THL, but until then, I thought I would share this photo.  Respo, this one is for you. Last Saturday, there was
Thank you!

Nice of you to think of me.  smiley Those are two of my favorite VCs for sure.  I look forward to more photos if you are able to post them. Best regards, Robert
You are most welcome...

Once they send me the photos, I will post. They did not have many watches, because the legalities of bringing them from one federal state to another is too cumbersome. But they did have the World Time, Patrimony Contemporaine Retrogade, Patrimony Contemporaine Boutique Edition (Grey Dial - Platinum), and a few others.

a bit for affordable than the one in KK's post cheeky
Someone forgot to tell the baker that the dial is tilted

45 degrees, or he was simply too lazy...smiley But either way the cake looks delicious.
I think he thought it was a mistake, who would be crazy enough to make

On another note, I received the new VC catalogue at this event.

I must say VC has not pulled any stops in creating the new catalogue. It's almost as good as Alex's authored books with superb photography and detailing.

What I find amusing is the idea that when told to create a tilted dial, the gifted pastry chef thought, "What? That can't be right. I must have misunderstood - they must have meant that the watch should be tilted." The dial, irrespective of its orientation here, is beautifully rendered, as is the entire confection. Felicitations to you, Alex, though they are belated from me, and many happy returns!
LOL, its a Frankencake!

I hope that you, Alex, got to taste the crown!  Very talented cake-makers heart.  I recall Tasveer also co-sponsored with VC a photo exhibit a couple of years back called "Divine Moments" yes.

This is one of the most notable aspects of THL: the thoughtfulness, generosity, and friendship between the Loungers, which in turn makes spending time on the forum a very gratifying experience for all!
