rose gold + black dial + brow strap = killer combination

The day I saw the Patrimony Boutique I knew I had to have it... even though I always though that 40mm was too big but as they say: if you cant beat them.. join them!

So the same day I call up the VC boutique in Geneva asking them to put one aside for me (I was lucky since the watch was not yet announced there was no waiting list) as soon as the watch arrived I actually flew to Geneva to go pick it up!! Not only is this the first watch I ever bought sight unseen but also the first I actually made a trip out of!!

I love it and hasn't been off my wrist for the past 10 days, the design, the wearing comfort, the lovely case and amazing black dial (which makes the watch look smaller) add up to make a perfect watch. What I particularly enjoy is the mat black dial which according to the way the light is shining on takes dark grey or brown hues!

06/28/2007 - 13:41

Yep, it is a beauty...
06/28/2007 - 14:11

Alex, is there a chance they will ever be sold outside boutiques? Just wondering, where do you live? How far was the trip to Geneva for you? Big dial watches rock... You're rigt: RG+black dial is an awesome combo!!!

Hi Radek unfortunately these Patrimony Boutique models will
06/28/2007 - 14:19

only be sold via the VC Boutiques around the world. I had tried ordereing one via my AD but it was impossible.

It was about an hour's plane ride but even if I had to fly 5 hours I still would have made the trip :-)

06/28/2007 - 15:28

Ah Alex, happy guy you are to be one of the first fortunate persons to wear it!!!

You have to show it to me next time; this watch through your pics is really wonderful.

merci patrice. Will gladly bring it with me next time we meet up (nt)

Stunning simplicity!
06/28/2007 - 15:46

You are right Alex the brown strap works

Any wrist shots? Please?

thanks Tim, I posted a (hairy) wrist shot lower down (nt)

Very nice!!
06/28/2007 - 16:26

...but I prefer this watch in white gold + black dial + black strap :D

then that is a trip you may have to make in a couple of months but
06/28/2007 - 16:29

more in due time

Again, you speak in riddles...
06/28/2007 - 17:43

Congratulations and thanks for sharing Alex.

That's one super combination!  The warmth of RG coupled with the coolness of a black dial.  WOW!

I guess being the first in line is a well deserved reward for all that hard work looking after the lounge.  I really have to think about bribing you for more tips.

I am wondering how a dark brown strap (like in the PG Jubilee) would look.  But then again, you are leaving me hanging with that last comment of yours...I hate it when you do that!

Wear your new darling in the best of health!!

That a stunning piece of gold you got there...

As horolophile wished, will you give us some wristshots?

I'll try to get some wristshots tomorrow :-) And yes Kazumi I love
06/28/2007 - 18:08

driving you nuts with the riddles

here's a wrist shot
06/29/2007 - 12:02

it's a fantastic watch Alex
06/29/2007 - 13:52

looks really nice on your wrist. Wear it in good health (in Poland we say: let the watch 'meausre' good moments only - that's an exact translation but maybe you could help me out smooth it up in English)

Thats a very nice saying :-) Thank you (nt)

Hey dangerous....
Absolutely magnificent!...
06/28/2007 - 19:00

The standard version of that watch is nice, but in rose gold with a black dial its really amazing.  I love rose gold watches, but its a nice change to see rose paired with a black dial.  Just curious how many Patrimony Boutiques VC is planning to produce?  Great watch Alex, wear it in good health.

Best regards,

Hi Dino the Patrimony Boutique models are not limited editions but
06/28/2007 - 21:09

limited in production. I do not know for how many pieces nor for how long they will be in production.

The Patrimony Boutique models will be produced only for a year (nt)
06/29/2007 - 18:31

Hi Alex, thanks for clarifying the limited production issue for me.
06/29/2007 - 18:38

Great watch!  I think it would be interesting to know after a year how many were produced, although I'm not sure if they would release that info.  Wear that beauty in good health.

Best regards,

Beautiful watch...
06/28/2007 - 22:15

...almost like my just in another combination

Love that photo!! (nt)

Thanks Alex.

Congratulations! Beautiful watch! But no botique in the Americas!
06/28/2007 - 23:56

As I mentioned in a previous post, this botique edition is stunning.  Previous photos showed this model with a black strap which made it a perfect formal watch.  But your great selection of the brown strap turned it into a gorgeous everyday watch.  It looks terrific.

So when will the USA & the Americas get a VC botique?  We'd like to get in on the fun too.

Thanks Nicolas, there may be no VC boutique in the US but wait until
06/29/2007 - 14:07

you see the new US special editions, that'll make up for the lack of boutique

Once again you tease too much!!!
06/29/2007 - 21:47

I don't want to see it in reality ...
06/30/2007 - 10:56

I possibly couldn't resist.

thanks Deniz :-) (nt)
