Scan of a never seen watch: The Traditionnelle 2755 Empreinte du Dragon

At Hong Kong's Watches and Wonders last month Vacheron Constantin presented 3 unique watches with amazing hand engraved cases: The Traditionnelle Calibre 2253, the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Chronograph - both of which are featured in my W&W article - as well as the Traditionnelle Cal 2755 which has not yet been shown!

The Cal 2755 is VC's most complicated calibre in regular production featuring a perpetual calendar, tourbillon and minute repeater.

The Traditionnelle Calibre 2755 Empreinte du Dragon also features an amazing hand engraved case representing the scales on a dragon. The case took 70 hours to engrave, the later done with a free hand meaning that the engraver only used his eye to guide his hand and the case was not pre engraved, the slightest mistake leading to the case being melted and starting all over again! The Traditionnelle Calibre 2755 Empreinte du Dragon is an epitome of both design and workmanship.

Again, Vacheron Constantin demonstrates it's ability to produce outstanding pieces for it's core market.

Well done to everyone that was connected with this undertaking. Clearly, the 'A' Team!
