SIHH 2010: Historique Ultra-Fine 1955

I was very happy to discover during the SIHH the 1003 caliber in this "golden" context. Its finishings are outstanding and it seems to more complex.

The size of the watch (36mm) is perfect for an ultra-thin watch.

A true beauty for people who look for a timeless watch.

homerun with this one!
Great pics, great watch

Interesting, I didn't notice before that the indices were painted.  This watch should remain popular for a long time as it marries the classic with modern.  The in-house 1003/3 is a nice improvement on the original too.  Now, what about a white gold version with white gold movement for the Lounge watch?  Something flashy with the dial would be nice; perhaps black satine soleil with silver markings...
Ultra-fine photos, Xavier.

Thank you very much for sharing your photos.  They are very first rate! I must admit that this is my favorite VC for SIHH 2010.  At first, I had doubts about the design of the lugs (I was wondering how it would look like with a Contemporaine-ish case and dial treatment) but a few wrist shots quickly changed all that.  This is a watch that I would really like to see in the flesh (if only to appreciate the thinness and the golden cal. 1003/3). I agree with the suggestion about using this as a base for an Hour Lounge model (although I believe all this thinness and the gold movement will come at a premium).  I don't suppose we can come up with a stainless steel model with sunburst grey dial? Looking forward to more photos and write-ups on this future timeless beauty. Cheers! Kazumi
fantastic photos FX, I like this watch but don't love it but I guess

that's what a classic is you don't have a love or hate reaction but something that you can bring out of the safe after 10 years and it still looks good.

I forgot to add, the extra flat movements are assembled in a special

workshop that we can't even visit as the watchmakers need to have 100% peace and quiet considering the painstaking work it is to asseble and regulate the cal 1003!
alex, how about making this cal. extra special for hour lounge .......

steel case, dial and hands like dean's ref4348 in white gold without the sub-seconds ?  just a suggestion, i am sure others are better at designing watches.  just an opinion, i feel we should have a special watch for the lounge.
an impression of how it looks like, regret for the bad photoshop skill

First of all, the bezel is very thin and the size is in harmony with the thickness. Fr.Xavier
