SIHH 2011 final sneak peek! Guess and win a VC polo shirt

There have been some really good guesses until now. SIHH 2011 final sneak peek! Guess and win a VC polo shirt

I can give you one last hint: the complication in this watch has never been seen in a VC wrist watch before
To win the VC poloshirt  you need to guess the collection the watch shown belongs to AND give me its exact complications. The first one to guess wins the polo shirt, if no one guesses I will make a random draw.

This is the final hint, I will announce the winner on Friday

even with so many hints it is really difficult... _QDI _Moonphase _perpetual calendar But then there is nothing new, I am very perplex... instead of perpetual calendar _muslim perpetual retrograde calendar

QDI Retrograde Perpetual Moonphase.
Hm...
11/10/2010 - 14:06

I just love tunnel thinking and jumping to conclusions. legible... practical... annual calendar? but some have guessed that already. Or QdL annual calendar with month, day, retrograde date AND moon phase and age? I give up.

I think you got it!
11/10/2010 - 14:12
I had no idea about the 29 and a half, went to muslim calendar but the age of the moon is logical.

non-transparent dial QdI annual calendar with moonphase, month and retrograde date with subseconds within the moonphase subdial. just stating what i see from the pics
My guess..
11/10/2010 - 15:55

Its a QdL annual calendar. The complications are: Month display Retrograde date display Moon phase and age Power reserve Thanks for the context Alex (and VC).  Good luck to everyone! Kazumi

Looks like I won't be winning this contest...
11/10/2010 - 16:10
...I'm with everyone: QdI annual calendar with moonphase, month and retrograde date subdials... I seriously cannot wait to see the finished product!! I hope that the dial won't look too cluttered... It is quite interesting to see that VC has released a QdI with a solid dial - I hope that likewise, they will use the semi-transparent dial in the other collections (would fit very well with the OS!) The security seal was used on a solid dial - it this something reserved only for the QdI line? Any chance of seeing it in the metal at Salon QP? Thanks Alex for sharing...
Another shot in the dark...
11/10/2010 - 17:11
Now I believe we shall see a Quai de I'lle with quantieme perpetual calendar including circular moonphase, age of phase and leap years, plus retrograde day and date and month indicators.  Whew, that's hard work
Never seen before? An ALTIMETER! nt

QDL. Annual Calendar with Moonphase. Looks like a very interesting watch.
another wild guess
11/10/2010 - 18:00
I notice that Alex specifies that this complication has never shown up on a VC wristwatch before. But he does not specify that it has never shown up on any VC watch before. I'm not sure whether this is helpful, though. I think consensus is that it's a QdI with perpetual calendar (with retrograde date) and moonphase. Possibly with power reserve on the back side. As for the new complication, there's a hand on the bottom half of the moonphase disc, and while it could be seconds, it's not obvious that that is the case. The watch may lack a seconds hand. So I'll go out on a limb and suggest that it's a tide indicator, letting you know when the oceans go up and down at the beach.
This tunning pice will have, believe it or not,

moonphase i true time, therefore true time 29,5 days, and also true sun or rather daytime/time is also shown. It's DECLINATION combined! I'm impressed!' Wow, if it has perpetual calender or not, or even a retrograde one, is nothing against those first mentioned complcations, that haven't been seen for years, if ever, in a 'production watch' OK, the AHCI heroes has done variations on it of course, but then we are talking of 'one off's'. And as I said many times, these guys are fabulous, but what happens when they quit or not are longer around? Our friend just told us about his new not working 'mass produced' V&C, at least seen with Vacheron&Constantin eyes, I'm pretty sure that the OS is the model that have been produced in largest numbers of any V&C watch. Still things can and always art some unfortunate moment goes wrong, but then Vacheron Constantin stands ready to fix it, and probably 'apply a plaster at the wound I'm looking foward to see this marvel! Hi all, My guess: QDI with solid dial. Date of the month on the right middle Moonphase with days of the moon on the left middle On the bottom, 6 o'clock area (this in the toughest), a month indicater, but not a retrograde, rather a complete circle shape with month names radiating from the middle of it. Joseph
My guess

QDL with annual calendar and retrograde work week indicator
Trying a guess
11/11/2010 - 10:47
Hi Alex, I suppose it to be a Quai de L'Ile with annual calendar with moon phases. Cheers Dje

I think this is Quai De Lile New products. Rose Gold, Moon face, month, automatic watch. Hopefully I can win the t-shirt!
I'lll do ANYTHING for VC stuff...
11/11/2010 - 16:14
I think all of this has been quessed before, but here goes: QDI case Annual calendar with: retrograde age of moon moonphase retrograde month retrograde date power reserve I am sure this is wrong because you said the complicatio has never been seen before on a VC wrist watch -- and I cannot imagine that any of the above complications had not previously been executed. Can I have a shirt anyway? ;-) Thanks for doing this contest.  Lots of fun.  And in case, I am soon to join the VC fold -- like I said, i will do anything to get some cool VC stuff. Best, respo
glad to know you will soon be joining the club :-)

Compromise - keep the shirt, send over the watch...
11/11/2010 - 16:44
The first hint clearly shows a rose gold QdI, hinting to an Annual Calendar. The second hint further highlights the annual calendar, but along with hint 4 tells us we are looking at a watch which shows both "regular" and lunar dates. Otherwise, I take the mark on the right to be a hurricane indicator, and if that is the case - chapeau to VC! Dial seems very nicley done, perhaps silver? That's it. Congratulations to the lucky HLounger winner, whoever he or she may be.
a VC polo shirt

My guess: QdI annual calendar with hours /minutes hands, retrograde date, month display, moonphase with age, and subseconds within the moonphase subdial.  Good luck to all. Cheers, Teetann

This beautiful time piece is the new Quai de l'Ile Annual Calender : new 326 parts Vacheron Constantin Calibre 2460 QRA with ceramic ball bearings, 40-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz, retrograde annual calendar enabling to handle months of both 30 and 31 days, moon-phase indication requiring correction once every 122 years, 43mm ruthenium-plated 22K gold case. A masterpiece once again demonstrating the innovative abilities of Vacheron Constantin.
Good try Bernard :-)
