SIHH 2012 opens in one week, what would you like to see launched?

Well, where shall I begin...

How about a white metal piece with blue accents?! Can be simple, complicated or both of them.. A Contemporaine, PT or WG with blue track, hands/seconds hand, date, whatever. Gary
great suggestion...

I wouldn't mind having a new model in steel (easier on the wallet...)

Hi Alex, Some people on another site have been asking for a white metal version of the World Time, but I prefer the RG I would like to see a modern version with a larger caseof the 4240 but with a moon phase and that beautiful case and lugs. That would be ideal!
A black version of the Overseas ;-) (nt)

the Sea Shadow is soooooo 2011... ;-P (nt)

LOL, you're right, but...

now updated for 2012 with rubber strap... Just a proof-of-concept version for now wink
not a fan of the rubber strap. Maybe kevlar?

Dean, the unstoppable!!! I am sure it's very comfy... (nt)

+1! Or an all black QDI? hehe
01/10/2012 - 10:11
That'd be very tempting.
Les Historiques 222

I think that would be cool, especially in stainless steel. Bill
Right On!

Great time to reveal a date-version caliber 1121.
Openworked minute repeater, please...
01/09/2012 - 21:05
...or, failing that, an openworked version of the American 1921!
Well, my ideas are plebian
01/09/2012 - 22:02
...compared to others here.  I am one of those who has been wishing for white metal versions of the WT and the Ultra-fine 1968.  But really, an openworked 1921, an Historiques 222 -- these are much more imaginative ideas.  In any case, I need something from VC very soon, as I am nearly out of chocolates!  ;-) Best, respo
Hints please?! Will you post teasers, Alex? nt

watch this space :-)

I hope that the rumours I have been hearing/ reading
01/10/2012 - 01:35
about a new addition to the Malte line are true... Although I prefer the discountinued round case, I still find the tonneau case very appealing and I think that the Malte collection has not been receiving the same amount of love as the other collections in recent years...

Some ideas
01/10/2012 - 23:40
-The return of the tear drop lugs, part of Vacheron DNA, not my idea but I like it. -Quai de l'ile chronograph... one year or another :)  -Vacheron is poetry, poetry is minute repeater: the extra thin will be forever in Vacheron Story, but a thin simple minute repeater would be great. :) -A Patrimony Worldtime  in white gold or platinum. -"les historiques"... T-Bird ! 6782. The sport reference of Vacheron Constantin. Coming in Platinum. There is a classical sports watch missing by Vacheron. And VC is lucky enough to have the 6782 in its history. Use it. As special as it is I am sure it will be a hit. But above all, I hope to be amazed, surprised maybe with some new Métiers d'art ! cheers Francois

with blue hands and red 12 o'clock marker to break up the monotony..... add to that the dark blue strap that went with the pt model and it would look great.

Patrimony Contemporaine Minute Repater - 39mm. Patrimony Contemporaine QP (the existing one with movement 1120) with Minute Repeater - 41mm. Patrimony Traditionelle Openworked with day / date / power reserve - 40mm. Something new from the Malte line with an in-house movement and transparent case back.

I am excited about attending SIHH next week. It is my first time and my sleepless nights remind me of the excitement I felt as a child on Christmas Eve. I can't wait to see what wonders await. The one thing is certain with Vacheron Constantin the finissage will be exemplary. What do I want to see? Something in platinum, possibly a Historique piece and maybe a contemporary sports watch with a perfect calibre nestling under the dial. Only 120 hours until my appointment with Vacheron Constantin and counting!
