a Great Anniversary for VC and all THLs.
This, combined with the design of the box, makes me wonder if one of these new calibre's is skeletonized and that is what the box was paying homage to? Skeletonization is a VC Metier, no? We shall see very soon.
much longer are you going to make us wait???¨
This is so exciting!
We arrived in Geneva today and dropped by the Maison to say hello to Jerome and book a tour of the new exhibit on vintage chronographs. I admit to scanning the premises for any clues but without success. Waiting with great anticipation...just a few more sleeps!
Or perhaps there was a clue after all ;-)
that has made me feel as though there is something right under my nose that I keep missing. I am either exhilerated, frsutrated, or both! Why (and how) do I keep missing things. Just a few more days...
... The subject of the exhibit at the Maison is the biggest clue. ;-)
Lucky you, Dean! Have fun!
I suppose that exhibit of Vintage Chronos may have provided some clue. I guess we shall soon see.
an artists rendering which appeared to my tired eyes as the profile of a Patrimony case with novelty of a raised flat bezel. One can imagine this new real estate being useful for something...
I would guess that a new chronograph is an almost certainty, with ann in house movement. There has been some talk about this for a few years.
The really exciting thing will be the case design and of course the movement itself.
VC has excelled in their recent movements and this should be no exception.
I amm less certain about the OS but perhaps it will have the same new movement.
Just some guesses.
All very exciting!
that, as our visiting lounger delegation, you guys (Joseph, Dean, et al.) will provide us with some goods"live" photos in the metal. (Of course, assuming VC does not have does not have a restriction on that). The lounge is watching and waiting. Thanks all.
Consider it done!
I've packed up my new leica V-Lux (yes I know its made by panasonic) but what a fasntastic Leica lens, and my Leica M7 and 6 rolls of film! Yes some people still shoot film
I love a great roll of film shot through a Leica. I switched to Nikon when I went digital, but I do miss it. Can't wait to see what you post for us. Thanks as always Joseph.
New collection, new movements, just can't get any better! Unlike the MR, which we saw in prototype for a few years before production, details of a chronograph have been closely guarded. Will it be a high-end manual calibre to replace the Lemania, or a robust auto suitable for the OS, or a base suitable for both? Historically, having chrono manufacturing back in-house is something we haven't seen since the days of &.
I have had made by my carperter have been well worth it. Now I will eye this book too, and hopefully the watch. I just hope they are not super expensive. You are killing me with all this suspense.
And with the new Swiss Currency policy; I hope it does not affect VC negatively too much.
I will be on the plane to exotic places tomorrow night... so have a great SIHH dinner and please report from the VC booth with all the beautiful timepieces VC has prepared for us this year.
Most curious about this limited edition!
Have a great holiday :-)
enjoy your vacations with your wonderful family
I'll miss you, Radek!
Have a great holiday!
we will just have to make a pact for next year, like the good old days. Really miss all you guys and hope the financial mess settles out soon.
Maybe a visit in Paris this Autumn?
Best to all The Loungers, Alex and the crew who are going into SIHH,
You are all greatly appreciated.
Missed you too.
Had time to speak with Gary (Getz) and his lovely wife, Laurie. Very enjoyable trip.
Now in London just being a tourist.
All the best,
Travelling over tomorrow, and getting more than a little excitable!
Looking forward to catching up with old friends, and new friends & new watches!
Now - what to wear....?!
