Just a guess
04/03/2007 - 13:33

We can see throught the front dial.

I can read on it "je vois à travers" which means "i can see through".

It seems to me that there's some kind of poem, sentences written on the dial.

I have no idea of...

the function and the artwork so far.

"je vois à travers de ton àme..." sounds like devils appeal to my bank account :-)... OK let's try: skeletonised and retrograde hour and minutes like saltarello??

seems like there is an inclination between the glass and the case or maybe it's only the shadow...PVD black coated mechanism? inscriptions on the glass are opposite...humm too much!!
Can't open the link!

But it's obvious a watch that I should have,

nobody else!

But I'm afraid it's the first special "one off" Vacheron Constantin,

custom made for a customer through Dom. Bernaz,

and then there will be another lucky aficionado!

It's a watch that you can look through,

and I guess that it's dial and back side glasses,

are both of the same size!

Anyhow since it's a VC it's beautiful,

so come omn and show it :-)

A guess...

Open dial tourbillon with perpetual calendar. Why? Because there appear to be two calendar corrector springs in the picture. Why a tourbillon? Because a perpetual calendar would be just a little too easy. :-)

Too easy!

1) Open dial,

2) Retrograde,

3) More than one subdial: one visible, and there should be another one/other ones somewhere to keep tha balance.

Now the hard part of it:

An Open Dial Retrograde Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Rettrapante!

But, why "Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Rettrapante"? Don't know. You asked for a guess, didn't you?

Hi Alex,

Based on Sneek Peek 1, I can only suggest the following:

I believe this segment is from the back of the watch which has an exhibition crystal.

The text indicates that it is see-through (or skeletonized), although I believe the correct French is "au travers",  but perhaps there is some poetic license here. There is clearly more text here, but it is unreadable.

The rest is speculation (at least for me) until more is revealed.

Thanks for the brain execise :-)

Very hard to discover, but it's the aim of the game...

I would say:

Open face

Minute repeater; when you set it (the function), the dial opens to reveal the movement

"Metier d'art": as mentionned on the dial in french, I would say skeletonising.

Let's try that way and dream about it!
