makes you look quite younger :p The movie is superb, and the watch seems promising, at first I will say simple with an amazing dial. A world time is quite a challenge, everyone will compare to Patek which make one of hiss best watch with the world time. Vacheron has to go his own way to make something very different and minimum as amazing, from the movie it looks promising !

Nice little clip Alex. I tried freeze framing but you really can't tell anything significant about the watch. Looking forward to seeing it, et toi, bien sur! Joseph
I'd be happy with a box like that...
01/12/2011 - 22:14
... where do I find one?! I'm sure the watch will surpass the box somewhat - but I love the box...
its in the works! nt

Our prayers have been heard!
01/12/2011 - 22:47
VC finally did it! And Doc will have to let go of his old GP world-timer and get this surely amazing art of work... Partly enamel dial?
Very promising ...
01/12/2011 - 23:12
and at least one man will be very happy. Tim are you listening
To this little arrangement,
01/12/2011 - 23:50
I beleive the word is very charming, my dear! Thank you for sharing! Doc
Hallelujah! Lets hope it looks more like this...

than the previous Phidias and Evasion World Time models.  The video clip shows someone I would assume to be Francois Constantin with a case of pocket watches off to visit customers by train.  With this link, it is interesting that the new WT is under the Patrimony Traditionelle collection instead of the Historiques.  The website describes the Patrimony line-up as follows:Classic design is the Patrimony Collection's strong suit, its fundamentals clearly reflecting Vacheron Constantin's founding values.  Beating mechanical rhythms both simple and highly sophisticated its timepieces also express the brand's very contemporary elegance.  Every Patrimony model provides a convincing demonstration of Vacheron Constantin's unique skills and expertise. So it may be a contemporary take on a classic concept, without direct link to a past model.  This is all very exciting

Good analysis, Dean. I hope you're right. The concept is ver exciting. Joseph
Good point Dean about Patrimony vs. Historiques
01/13/2011 - 00:47
Alex, is the video tease your idea?  It takes the teasing level to another level - frustrating for us but VERY WELL done. Can't wait to see more! BR, Dan
I plead guilty :-) Next teasing step is to invite the Loungers to
01/13/2011 - 10:29
SIHH and not show any watches
So this is the little video you were referring to............
01/13/2011 - 01:09
I now have a cramp in my finger from the pause button, blood shot eyes and wondering if there is going to be some color on that WT dial!? I am afraid that I won't be sleeping much now until Sunday, but the adrenal rush should be worth it, please have the paramedics standing by in Geneve. If the box is any indication, the watch is going to unbelieveable. I could not get much of a glimpse from the drawer frame but am guessing 40.5 mm.  Can't wait!!!! Yes I am listening, Oliver, can you hear the bells ringing? Best to all, Tim
Super cool video!
01/13/2011 - 03:36
Can't wait to see the watch
World Timers
01/13/2011 - 03:48
I love the world time complication. Looking forward to seeing what VC comes up with. The countdown is nearing blast off... Tick-Talk: great commentary on what to expect by looking at the watch's placement in the Patrimony Traditionelle collection rather than in the Historique.  Best, Meehna
Oh boy!
01/13/2011 - 06:56

Now I'm glad I didn't take the plunge for that ALS world timer... Can't wait to see this one! Best, Gary

Awesome video
01/13/2011 - 15:56
But VC is killing me!  I love the worldtime function, so I can't wait to see what VC does with this one.   That box is sweet.  Is that really going to be the box that comes with the watch???? I have to say, VC really produces some amazing short videos.  Not surprising given the quality of everything they do, but each time I see one of these, I am impressed.   Thanks for the tease. Best, respo
the watch will unfortunately not come with that box BUT that box may

become available as a watch box holding a certain number of watches.

Sign me up Alex, I have the VC watches for it! Joseph
Alex get's up steam and leaves us derailed.......
01/13/2011 - 16:02
Alex, the time has come to blow the whistle and get us underway! Poor Tim won't get much sleep until, at least, Sunday and nodubt Doc is 'pulling his hair out'. The message is simple - "Get us out of 'ere FAST!" P-l-e-a-s-e! I'm biting my nails for the first time....
great train metaphore Tony, very a propos :-)

That watch may turn out to be the choice for the "Loungers' Watch! Qu'est-ce que tu en pense? Joseph
we replace Geneva by "The Hour Lounge"? :-)

Don't do the same mistake as Patek Philippe! I was millimeters from buying my first PP, when I needed a world  time watch. Vacheron Constantin had no world timer and to be honest my DTR, didn't compensate. It was a classic example of "to want, but not be able". I don't have it any longer. I have very, very hard felings to PP, as you know, but this time they had made a beautiful new watch, with classivc lines, BUT the stupid creators had forgot the most important on a world time watch! Hadn't they heard about the that there is a DATE LINE on this planet? Apparently not. They missed the date!! So I had to buy this only thinkable, plus it's my second love. A real world time watch , with date AND a chronograph. In my taste even  more good looking, but a bit to big to be perfect! So two things, date and a smaller size than the GP, is for me an absolute wish for the Vacheron Constantin! All this I have said and printed HERE earlier. Will b interesting to see if nyone insidfe the production building reads HL, as they say, I'm sorry but I have my doubts, the tendency to look at PP is there, I sorrowly knows that. Let's hope Doc is wrong, no one would be happierr than I Doc
i also like the pp worldtime, but didn't get around buying though....
01/14/2011 - 07:36
which is a blessing in disguise now that we are gonna have a world time of our own. i'm hoping it's as handsome as the one dean shown above. that'll probably overwrite the search of the mercator for a while.
at 31 seconds, it seems that the case is white (G or Pt) and...
01/13/2011 - 20:30
with an enamel dial. At 38sec the world map is blue on white and the case is rose gold. Could we expect 2 or 3 versions available Please Alex, next teaser D-4... Cheers, Liger
It will be a enameled dial with the whole world!
01/14/2011 - 15:12
Like Liger, I see a picture on the dial. I watched the teaser at least 50 times by now With a bit knowing about the Vacheron Constantin way of thinking, it is an old world map Perhaps looking a bit like this, but of course the whole world! It will be amazing, but I'm afraid that the date will be missing Doc
