SIHH opens in a week: What would you like to see VC launch this year?

SIHH will officially open doors on Monday Jan exactly a week.

As usual there will be the SIHH launches and other pieces which shall be presented throughout the year. All I can say is that VC will make some nouise this year cool

So what would you like to see presented at SIHH?

I would like to see a 38mm chrono with in house movement, manual winding with four day power reserve, open case back with power reserve indicator there, and finally an enamel dial........Couldn't be more simple and less demanding

Split Chrono Extend Excellence Platine Improve Chronos.... Modern ones lack soul/character (to me) vs the vintage watches, which are soooo gorgeous... G

'nuff said
" Make some noise," you say?
01/14/2013 - 21:32
That's a hint if ever there was one! My vote goes for a simple two-hand minute repeater in the Patrimony Traditionnelle family. Ever year I keep hoping for the same thing: A turnograph in the historiques collection. After that, I have no idea what to expect or even hope for! Bill
I want ...
01/15/2013 - 13:19
i definitely want to see more complications : minute repeater would be nice; would also love a new RG openwork and some ladies watches with complications!!
Veeeery close Bill
01/24/2013 - 07:40
Almost perfect, but details must await lifting of the embargo. Signing off from Geneva...
I'd like to see...
01/14/2013 - 22:20
another rebirth of an historic piece (like the 1955 or Aronde), but from an earlier time (1920-1940), perhaps with an enamel dial, rectangular or tonneau, stepped bezel and an in-house movement. That's not asking too much, is it? devilcheeky Joseph
01/14/2013 - 22:42
I agree with Dean I would like to see an update of the 222. Plus I would really like to see an annual calendar or an update of the 6694, or the release of a white gold world time. Not much really!!!!
Three wishes...

QdI Chrono (in house preferably) 1972 rendition in contemporary men's size Use of new/cosmic materials on Overseas (this won't probably happen for another couple of years until the launch of the in-house Chrono movement)
Chronograph Rattrapante Foudroyante
01/15/2013 - 00:32
With an in house movement of course
I d like to see
01/15/2013 - 04:47
I d like to see a  chronograph with in house movement. 36-38mm case.that it.
01/15/2013 - 02:16 wish/ dream would be for VC to produce an elegant Annual Calendar with the engraved moonphase, in the Excellence Platine - basically, the 47212 minus the chrono. That would be my dream watch. But I know that this one is not going to happen... so here are some of the things that I would like to see that are more likely to be released: - a new release (or two) in the Excellence Platine collection - the new in-house chrono movement (I get the feeling that we are still a few years away before seeing this marvel, but wouldn't it be great if it ws released this year?) - a simple complication in the new Malte collection  - a new minute repeater in the Patrimony collection? (I'm with Bill on this one, although I am not sure if Alex is trying to mislead us.. for the Master Teaser, the hint would be a bit too obvious...) - the new Hour Club limited edition Patrimony Contemporaine in Steel (I'm back to dreaming...) Cheers,  Francois
If anyone is listening...
01/15/2013 - 10:52
I second the Patrimony Contemporaine in steel for THL/THC! (39mm to keep it distinctively different?). G
I'm all ears and am a fervent militant for a Club watch and do not
01/15/2013 - 11:21
despair in seeing it happen!
We'll see it happen one day... Not sure steel would be that much
01/15/2013 - 13:14
cheaper, let's say than white gold as it is quite hard to machine and it would be a new material for a Patrimony case so most probably it would require quite an effort in a development stage. Hate to say it, guys but I believe it'd be least expensive to stick to an existing model and add a distinctive feature that will differentiate it from the original.
you might be right regarding the use of steel involving
01/15/2013 - 17:53
further efforts to machine it, but I would be surprised if it involved more R&D investment - the moulds for the case have been done, and VC has experience in working with steel, so I would have thought that it would have been an easy swap - but maybe you are correct and I am wrong...  In my view, the solution that is the easiest to achieve, and is the most afffordable so that more can join the fun, is the best Cheers,  Francois
I think it would be easier to have a steel case than a different sized
01/15/2013 - 17:56
A three handed watch with guilloche dial and sputnik/tribute to
01/16/2013 - 10:21
explorers' case. Could be in a red rose gold with black/dark brown dial cheeky I am excited already...

100% agree............I love the idea but think it should be limited to existing members pre the announcment only
I cannot wait, when we will be able to see them online??
01/15/2013 - 13:14
you'll be able to see them online 1st here: -) watch this space!
01/15/2013 - 13:24
I am also interested in what we won't see...
01/15/2013 - 16:02
...anymore.  Is this the time that we learn of discontinued pieces as well?  Does VC (or any of the brands) formally announce discontinuations on a regular basis, or do we learn of them only quietly over the course of the year? As for what I would like to see, I am with the others above (Bill you said it first), a two-hand minute repeater would be a great watch for VC to produce and one that I will never be able to afford.  I would like to see VC producing such a watch, however. Even better a Grand et Petitie Sonnerie! Something from the Contemporaine or Traditionelle line, uncomplicated, in white metal with black dial. A new Les Historiques piece (I could live with either Bill's Turnograph suggestion or Radek's 1972 idea) and a new addition to the Excellence Platine line.  Well, whatever VC announces, I know I am sure to be in trouble... Best, Robert
VC doesn't officially announce whan a watch is discontinued and I'm
01/15/2013 - 16:54
not sure many (any?) brand actually does
I kind of suspected that
01/15/2013 - 17:33
Thanks for your reply, Alex.  Have fun next week. Best always, Robert

I would love to see a bracelet for quai de l'ile ...
I would like to see..
01/15/2013 - 17:13
more complications: a new minute repaeter, a ladies watch with some complication; also an open work timepiece!! I storgly believe those kinda pieces would do well - at least there is a demand from what I know .. :)) Feels like Xmas when I am wishing for those things :))
I am with you on the ladies watch with complication
01/15/2013 - 17:48
I'd like to get my wife a VC at one point... there are a few nice models available now, but all the ones that I like are simple time, or quartz models...
White gold, lots and lots of white gold! (nt)

You 'White Gold Weilder'! Ever read the books? See you Sunday?! G
01/16/2013 - 07:44
I want to see Patrimony in Palladium, any Patrimony.
In-house chrono that is 38 or 39mm
01/16/2013 - 09:31
Exciting! I hope for a in-house chrono (beautiful movement like Datograph/Mont Blanc Villeret's chronos) that has an enamel dial in 38 to 39mm case. cheers, robin wong
