A real workhorse!

The catalog description of V&C Observatory watch 464273 is too modest...it appeared at trials on thirteen occasions!  Geneva 11X between 1948 and 1968, plus Neuchatel in 1960 and 61.
Thanks Dean for the details!

Hi Dan, Its lot 282. Joseph
Thanks Joseph!

For some reason, when I searched the May 12 auction based on brand (VC), it did not show up. I got it now. BR, Dan
I am sure that VC will want this one back!

I would love it but......I am sure VC has more firepower than I do
I see there is also a special 250th year watch available

The black dial, Patrimony with sub-seconds at 6 o'clock. These watches were given to male, full-time, employees in 2005 as part of the 250th anniversary celebration. You can see the minute markers at the top (to the left and right of the 12 o'clock marker) show "1755-2005". The watch up for auction is No. 200. I'm sure VC will know who it was originally given to.
Hi Dan

It's actually lot 389. I wonder if VC will want that one back too. I thought about putting in an absentee bid for it (no online bidding for some reason), but I didn't want to incur the permanent wrath of Charles Torres :-) Joseph

Well, I figured that we weren't the original recipients and we didn't put it up for sale ;-) I think Charlie would be quite pleased to know that a dedicated and loyal collector, such as YOU, ended up with it. I think it brings it "back into the family"! ;-) If you do bid on it, GOOD luck! BR, Dan
I second what Alex has said. I too want one of each. One

Question - the Tourbillon which is not visible dial side. Was this trend first begun by VC or PP?
