SOS: Incredible problem of Overseas Large Model

Dear all:
As a loyal Chinese customer of Vacheron Constantin, my dad bought an Overseas Large Model (Ref:47040/B01M-9164,Bte:811774) on 24th.Oct.2006. It costs RMB 109500. After 5 moths, we found that one screw from the backside of the timepiece was missing. The screw links the watchband and timepiece. Now, the watchband is a little bit wavering. It is really incredible. My dad and I both suspect the quality of the Vacheron Constatin. Because we are in China, we hope the manufacturer could give us a reasonable explanation and manage this problem. And my dear readers, could you give us some advices?

Thanks a lot!

Dear Kathy this is an unfortunate incident but the best thing

to do is to take it back to the authorised dealer you bought it at. It may have been a problem which comes from the dealer and not the brand.

In any event the watch is still under warranty so I would suggest you take it back to your dealer for repair.

I got the same problem, 2 months after buying my white dial chrono overseas who got the same screws on the back: I called VC and they send me nicely 6 screws by post!! They explained me it can happen because at the end of the screw there is a green glue that can fail....you don't have to worry: you're under guaranty and VC (or your dealer as Alex saids) wouldn't let you with this situation. Cheers.

Thanks Alex and Saltarello. As you said that the first thing I should do is to take the watch back to the authorized dealer. We discussed the problem for a long time, but they said I need to pay RMB1,300 for repair, even if this watch is still under warranty. Therefore, I do not believe the authorized dealer and do not satisfy after service of them. P.S. Saltarello, how much you pay for the new 6 screws? And does VC post the new screws directly to your home? Thank you my dear friends to help me manage this problem. I think I should make a phone call to VC directly after Easter.
