Spring Equinox

At home its time to shake off the doldrums of winter and leap forward into spring!  March 20th signifies the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere and the fall equinox in the southern half of the globe.  For all, it means equal day and night.  Up here, for a few months our daylight hours will continue to grow while they will conversely shrink south of the equator, then reverse the trend at the June solstice until day and night meet once again on equal footing in September.

Spring Equinox

My dear wife and I celebrated this date with a walk along the river, enjoying warm sunny skies and bird songs.  Of course, I had to air out my house-bound Vacheron too Spring Equinox.  Please share your watch pictures of this lovely day.

a watch that doesn't get much wrist time but each time it does I love it! The arrival of spring is also the Persian new year

I just been thoroughly enamored with it since its return from the spa and regulation, love holding it in my hand.  Just have to make sure it gets a front, pants, pocket dedicated just for it - to make sure nothing will scratch it. Keeps great time, up to chronometre standards of today, and is so easy to read. BR, Dan

and so in keeping with the trend towards larger watches .  Let's see Panerai try to top that! Kidding aside, there really is something reassuring about handling a pocket watch.  In an age where time means everything, the pocket watch accords due respect by its substantial presence.
