Stainless Overseas Silvered Dial with Black Rubber Strap

Hi all, I am thinking about getting a black rubber strap for my Overseas. It is a dual time with silvered guilloiche face and metal bracelet. (Ref. 47450/B01A-9226) I am wondering if someone has seen this done and how it looks? Pictures would be especially appreciated. Also, I am wondering how one recommends getting the strap? Any AD? Lastly, any tips for changing the strap to prevent scratching, or just have amn AD do it? Thanks much all.

not assuming any age difference (although hoping you see fun in the reference wink), just helping introduce you to our site...the SEARCH box will yield much info, including this excellent tutorial on strap changing: Changing a bracelet on the OS.  Hopefully, others will jump in with photos of the desired combination, which looks quite nice IMHO yes.

Ok. Wow. I just spent lots of time with search on this topic. That was fun! Still have not found a picture of the 47450/B01A-9226 face on a black rubber strap, though. I found your excellent tutorial. Looks like I'll be getting a Wenger Minathor, some Loctite, a rubberized vise and some wine! What I really need to find is all those Hour Lounge/VC goodies you guys have - gloves, tools, etc. Perhaps I'll have to wait for the next event, but they don't seem to come to the US very often? Oh well, perhaps a trip to the continent is in order. It has been a while, after all. The idea of a self-change kit, which Alex mentioned in one conversation, would be quite useful. Thanks again for the guidance.

Hi jtodd, My OS Chrono came with a rubber strap and it is indeed a very nice look. I preferred a bracelet and I put on myself. It's not difficult if you have the right tools. But if you are not planning on doing it very much then I would recommend having the AD do it. If you get the strap from them they will likely put it on for free, or they should. Ask before you buy. As Dean says there is a thread or two on doing that and I believe at least one deals with the OS. Joseph

Thanks Dean and Joseph, I did use the site search looking for pictures, but not for the advice on strap / bracelet changing. I will definitely look through it now. I was thinking I would likely change it often. I love the bracelet, but think the strap would look great for certain occasions. I am hoping to find a picture because my only concern is that it would be aesthtically imbalanced with a black strap against a very light face. I will probably just get it (eventually), but thought I would ask. Dean, regarding the reference to young Padawan, how could one not love a good Star Wars reference? This fact makes me guess we are likely in the same age group (mid-40's). Thank you for your guidance. Much to learn, I have.

Thanks Joseph. I found these great threads. I am jealous of your great tool collection. Thanks for the links! Time to start the collection around the collection, so to speak.
