Can you please advise if this strap is a genuine Vacheron Constantin strap.
I want to add a genuine VC strap to my beautiful VC.
I hate fake things.... I want to ensure it is a genuine VC strap.

Hi Archie, I'm not sure about vintage straps (the "Vacheron et Constantin" logo is no longer used), but I believe modern VC straps have curved ends where they attach to the watch. (Is this true for all modern VC straps, or just for round watches?) BR, Dan

I'm going to save it - good reference material for me (moderator-in-training)

Dan, The vintage straps, many of them, were not curved but straight at the lugs like this one. There are many photos of VC watches from the 50's showing this. I believe the gold leaf stamp was also used more often in that period as was lizard and snakeskin as a material. Unfortunately, the backs of the straps are never shown in the photos so you have to find a VC from that era with a genuine strap. There is a pretty decent chance it is genuine. I also have a strap very similar to that one with the identical back. I also have a small catalogue of VC watches from the 50's. Its very small but leather bound and the leather cover is embossed identically to the strap. Joseph
Thanks JB! (nt)
