Strap question

I am thinking that once I get my 47112, I would like to buy a few different straps to suit my mood...

A nice dark brown would tone down a little bit the 47112 and IMO would look very nice.

And if I wanted to be 100% bling bling Cote d'Azur/Miami Vice, I guess I could get a white strap (cheesy? bad taste? probably... Strap question)

I could also get the newer (and more comfortable?) deployant clasp instead of the older buckle...

I guess buying the straps should be easy... but will I be able to change the straps on my own? And will I need some special set of tools?

Cheers

you can find some strap chaning tools on the net or on ebay. They are

easy to use. Every time I getthe urge for a new watch I change straps and feel like I have a new watch

Not sure about the white strap though...how about a dark grey with white stiches like on the Datograph?

cheers for the info

On the white strap, I know what you are saying... to be honest, I wouldn't expect anybody to side with me on that one, and even I objectively know that it wouldn't be right... but i just really love the colour white, and I am in a "Miami Vice mood" after seeing Bad Boy Farrell sporting my baby...

If you want the bad boy look you would need something wicked like

a stingray strap or something in kevlar or something flashy like a deep red or purple croc strap!!!

Thanks for the suggestions... I will just need to make sure that I do not destroy the "VC spirit" of the watch by being too crazy on the strap...

either a regular strap changing tool:

or you can do it in "badboy" style using a Swiss army knife

Especially if VC is stamped on the Swiss knife...

that will be a prize in a future contest :-) !!
