A brick wall, because trying to get my 8 year old to stop reading long enough to come to the table to join the family for dinner is like hitting my head against a brick wall. A glance at a nice watch can help bring a little serenity to the general chaos of life, don't you think? I've got enough swag for now.....not need to put my name in for a prize. Bill
Nice ...
04/25/2012 - 21:54
very nice, Bill yes
Getting your 8 year old to stop reading is a problem???!!!!!! Getting
04/25/2012 - 22:24
Mine to read is a problem!
Serenity now!
04/26/2012 - 04:44
If that watch does not grant you serenity, I don't know what will. ;-) By the way, that has to be one of the best photos you have yet taken of the EPPC. Best, respo
Well, here's my entry
04/26/2012 - 05:54
I've taken my Tourbillion out for some air, "air" as in aria. In this case, the famous baritone aria (air) from Verdi's La Traviata, "Di Provenza, il mar, il suol" in which Germont sings of his beloved Provence (which of course, is in the countryside of France. Joseph
Bravo! Bravo Joseph. Two masterpieces.

A Night on The Town
04/26/2012 - 15:50
Having just returned from the Spa, My QP was chomping at the bit for a night on the town.  We started with cocktails and food at 21 Club: Followed by a walk through Central Park, which is quite beautiful at this time of year: Arriving at newly renovated Lincoln Center just in time for a stunning stage performance of War Horse: We love living in NYC!

Lived and worked in The City from 1980 thru 1982. Loved it!

Enjoying a quiet moment waiting for the train to arrive.

You're the only one there!
04/26/2012 - 23:33
Doesn't anybody work in Philadelphia? :-) Great looking watch. Bill
Always ready for a night on the town...
04/26/2012 - 22:28
Have I mentioned lately that I love the American? Cheers, Robert
Alex, I think 3 prizes aren't enough
04/27/2012 - 00:25
I mean, some of these pictures are simply brilliant! I think there should be a tab up there next to "Goodies" titled "Stills" or something along those lines, where some of the most memorable pictures go up. That way there is a constant reference point for us Loungers/Vacheronistas to enjoy these beautiful pieces. Just saying... Best, Walid
Walid you will soon be a happy man but I won't say more as not to
04/27/2012 - 01:02
spoil the surprise :-)
Ok, third and last entry

Its "time" for Spring to arrive...
04/27/2012 - 22:53
This is the view that greeted me out the window this morning sad.  "Tis the ugly season between winter and summer; snow squalls and not much fun for anything outdoors.
Don't do this with your Vacheron Constantin

I went driving with my stainless steel 454/5B on a sunny but cool day. Even with a screw on back, fine watches and horses are a dangerous mix of dust, mud and slobber.  Had to take two pictures because Chloe wondered what was going on - - would not stand still. Enjoy, Robert

Here's a shot of my Overseas.
Late to the party - here is my 1st picture(s)
05/01/2012 - 13:38
Sorry about being delinquent, I've been sick for the past week and not very active at all with anything.  I'm all better now and looking at the bright side, lost 3kgs!  (for me, this is a good thing!) Today is also the last day of a holiday break in China and one thing I've learned over the years...do not go out during a Chinese holiday (anywhere that would be of interest is guaranteed to be more overcrowded than you can imagine!). Therefore, what could I enter into this contest?  And then it hit me! enlightened One of my favorite things and things to do while at home: make coffee!(brewing) (after pressing: the shiny, black, liquid...heart) Now some may think that a 3-dial, 12-hour chronograph is overkill for measuring the brewing time of coffee...but it is the only real application I have for using a chronograph (my other uses are timing the actual flight duration of my trips and as an ad-hoc dual-time zone!  surprise) Best Regards, Dan

I guess 'refrain from flame' and 'heat proof glass' are useful, and good advice, for the Overseas, too! Best regards Dan Gary
Do you remember the lawsuit that McDonald's lost...
05/02/2012 - 11:41
to an old lady because she spilled hot coffee on herself. She got US$1 million because McD's didn't warn her the contents were hot!!! Now all paper cups, wherever you go have that warning message printed on them. You can't eliminate/prevent Stupid! BR, Dan
The 'Darwin Awards'!
05/02/2012 - 14:08
There are some brilliant, yet tragically bad, examples of human stupidity on offer. Google it! I particularly like the Wnnebago story. Man drives his new motorhome down highway, has new 'full automatic cruise control', so he sets it at his desired speed, and gets up to make a cup of coffee in the back.... You can imagine the rest.... Best Gary
My Most Favorite Surrounding By Far! (2nd contest picture)
05/02/2012 - 10:40
Enough Said!  wink(Alex, the picture I uploaded is right side up, I don't know why it is rotated counter-clockwise by 90 degrees.  I even rotated the picture clockwise 90 degrees and uploaded it again...but that picture is properly uploaded as is, rotated clockwise by 90 degrees)

Just kidding of course. Your wife is very fortunate as well (to have found you). Is that mushy or what? I must be getting too sentimental as I get older laugh
