A very sad news that China would impose a tariff of 60% on a watch bought in  foreign countries if the price more than ten thousand yuan crying

I would like to know is in twentieth Century 50, 60 years, how much is the  tariff  of Swiss watch sold to other countries ?

if join General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, the cost of imports of watches will greatly reduce ?

The Boutiques in China may be happy?

As they do not need to unfairly compete on price? (Prices in China are higher due to the luxury import tax)

As often with Chinese regulations...many people expect this tariff will be enforced more seriously at the beginning.  And then perhaps less so, or less consistently, later on.  But once it is on the books...they will pull it out and use it whenever they feel the need to do so.

I don't know how many historic tarrif experts there are on THL, so I don't know what type of reply you will get about Swiss-Japan tariiffs in the 1960s.  But I'm sure you can Baidu/Bing (and Google if you have a VPN).
