Thanks Joseph!

We had one room to much, actually it's become a 'container', even though we have both cellar and attic!

So we decided to do it out, among other things seven old book shelves, now that I got a library, I don't need them,
and to much of furniture, and God only knows what laugh

I found an old rifle (!), that I hadn't seen for 20 years, and 1.000 other things!
Among them a hard paper tube,  which I opened, and inside I found a treasure.
So I had to go to my studio which does the mountings of my paintings and lithos!

Thanks Joseph!

It must be 4 years or so since I 'won' this litho,  so kindly donated by Joseph!

Wow, it's very nice, now I just wonder where it shall hang!
Thanks again Joseph, my friend for this beautiful lito !

I whish you all nice Holidays, and of course, especially Josepp! heart

Cheers

Same problem Joseph, I see,

because it's rather big, not like fitting here, as Alex believes For certain these two plus this that are already hanging inside one of the parts of the book cases, that you see is all A.M. Cassandre (1901-1968) suiceded because the critics, did not like him turning from being the best, the most outstanding, the first and best paid poster painter. Turning to creating several new typeface styles instead of keep on poducing advertisement! One is the now famous sans serif, and many others! Paradox, the same year he took his life, the first Art Deco exhibition was held by Bevis Hillier, and he got his credit! BeforeArt Deco, it was not any name for the type of art. It was called modernism, jazz, cubism, modern art etc etc He took the word from Art Decoratifs, 1925, so the founder of the name is Becis Hillier 1968 in this little book! Two of mine Cassandres. The on he is most known for is Normandie I wanted one, of course they are original printing from 1930's., and cost ter after. This one I was offered to buy for $ 24.000 from USA, where I bought the other three. I didn't buy it, even though he is one (of the few) serious sellers! There are so many fakes of Cassandre, that a fake V&C or Rolex are rare! Thanks again and we have a nice 'problem', where to hang a nice lito wink Mats

Hi Tony, A few years ago I managed to get get 2 copies of this limited edition litho of the Chron. Royale. I kept one and had a little contest here. If i recall correctly, I posted images of parts of some of my VC watches. The one who guessed them all or came closest won. That was Doc. You may be able to find it in the archives. I think it was about 2-3 years ago. The litho is very lovely. Regards, Joseph
