I don't knwon which is the most difficult to realize between the two, but I largely prefer the actual engravements!

I prefer the police/typo of 2005 than the 100 years old police/typo

Thanks Fred !

that's the reactions I'm searching for the future...

But this from between 1790 and 1810,

Absolutely WONDERFUL!! The exagerated lines of the "V", the "H", and the "N" embellish engraving!!!

1000 times nicer thant the actual engraves!!!

Thanks Doc !!

...I have to say I'm all for the gothic writing - IMO it looks nicer, and it goes really well with the Malte cross...

I'm with you Frank, I like also the Gothic Style.

It's more classic and most of all "lifts" the name,

in my opinion.

I love it,

and that's why the pocket watches are so exciting to open !

Here are some real bad shots but the watch hasn't been out of the box,

more than 20 times, I would guess.

The last pic is I'm a little proud of

thanks for the pics, Doc... have you shown us before the front of the watch?

For Radek's HL timepiece contest, I will definitely incorporate the gothic writing

yes, u are echoing my deep thoughts on " where did all those beautiful

engraving go to? " i have seen many engravings on watch back with " wife's name to husband's name", they are so beautifully done with a variety of munuscript fonts which depicts the sincerity and thoughtfulness of the gift. to me, such fonts are very romantic and art, now, where have they gone, this lost art and those wife that buy husband watches (not just a watch) ?

maybe VC should consider issuing a limited watch with a solid back with such engravings, or better still, in an officer case so we'll get the best of both world.

you know that I'm completely found about your DTR. Regulary, when I see your pics, I'm going on Internet and checking for the WG. But pffff. VC is too expensive for me. Will stay a dream !

Thank's for pictures. ;-)
