Three tone gold cases.

In my closest family we are a couple of watch collectors.  The other family member / collector has a big variety in brands and a collection stretching from around 1750 – 2012. I have started out to take some photos of some of the pieces from that collection. I took some shots of this beautiful three tone gold oversized tank watch. I have a request for my fellow loungers here. If you have some pieces from Vacheron Constantin with three tone gold cases then maybe you could post them. I hope that it’s okay that I show this watch here when the main goal is to have a thread of hopefully wonderful pieces by VC with three tone cases.

I wish you all a pleasant weekend.

Three tone gold cases.

Three tone gold cases.

Quite a surprising watch, I guess inspired by the Trinity ring which

waswhich was also in 3 shades of gold. Need to check if VC has 3 tones as well. I guess with the Quai de l'Ile you can have a 3 tone watch :-)

Looking forward to seeing examples, if any exist.  Can't find a reference to three-tone gold V&C cases, just two-tone and mixed platinum/gold.
It may seem absurd...

that I’m putting a picture in a thread that I have started.  However when Alex reported back saying that he needed to check about watches from VC with three tone cases then I got curious. When Dean also returned without an example then I knew that a three tone gold case from VC might be more seldom that I first thought. So I started the hunt but with little success. After running through some auction catalogs with a faint recollection that somewhere I had seen one a long time ago, it turned up at the big VC Quarter Millennium auction in 2005. There is one sample of a watch with a “tricolored case” and it was made by Verger Freres and it is lot no 95.  Picture is from Antiquorum catalog "The Quarter Millennium of VC 1755-2005 It might be my mistake that I called it a “three tone” gold case instead of a “tricolored” case that has complicated the hunt. Sorry about that. I’m beginning to look forward to seeing if more samples might appear from some of your Hour lounge members. Yours sincerely Kent
LOL, trust Verger Freres

Cartier has made 3 tone jewellery for some time now, so I guess it's no surprise. Best, Joseph
Thanks for your comment, Joseph.

Yes you are right that Cartier has made “tricolored” cases for some time now. My main purpose for posting the picture was to see if there were some tricolored cases by Vacheron Constantin. It appears that if there are then they are pretty rare. I wish you a nice day. Kent
