Great photos of thr eclipse, and nice to know an OS was there to partake in the activities!
Where did you travel to in order to get 100% coverage of the eclipse?
We were in Columbia Missouri, just off the centre-line of the eclipse path, but only about a five second difference in totality.
I was able to set up in the parking lot of the hotel along with a number of other people.
It was great fun!
Great photos! Thanks for sharing..... nice watch (and camera too)!
Thanks very much.
Glad you liked them.
Camera was a Nikon D500 (DX type) with the Nikkor 200-500mm lens.
Lots of prep and study before even setting up, and then hoping the weather cooperates.
Great, I am not sure where you got those pics from but they are perfect, and the OS and camera are equaly in the same category, thanks for sharing JB...
we flew down to St. Louis and then drove to Columbia.
It turne we flew down to St. Louis and then drove to Columbia.
It turned out to be a pretty good spot and we were able to set up quite easily.
Fortunately the weather was good with only a very light haze, not significant though.
Took over 200 photos and certainly could have taken more.
Those are great photos of the eclipse, the best I have seen.
Nice to see another US Edition Overseas Chronograph traveling. As you know, mine goes everywhere with me. We need to get the brothers together sometime...
Thanks very much Robert,
It was great fun and seeing totality was a wonderful experience.
Would love, of course, to get together including the watches!
Such great photos. Really excellent. My only momentos from the eclipse are some surprisingly expensive cardboard glasses that are completely opaque unless you stare directly at the sun and a home made sign that says " Repent the end is nigh". But at least I was wearing my VC OS brown dial chrono while sporting my goofy glasses and carrying my unfortunate and very inaccurate prediction of the apocalypse.
No apocolypse this time! (LOL)
Fantastic pictures! We went to Nashville to view the eclipse and it was amazing.
Thanks, it was indeed!
We thought about nashville but were not sure the weather would cooperate.
Glad it worked out!
Nice to see your photos of this so special and rare event.
