A tribute to Velliotron !!

You asked me if they made better watches 1939,

and I said yes !

Firstly because all my old watches is going just perfect, and I mean perfect.

No trouble, which I had with some new......

This is the famous 1939,

which I know Alex would kill me fore,

and he was the first one who saw it in Geneva 2005 or 2006  A tribute to Velliotron !!

Look at the details,

I say no more.

At that time, Vacheron & Constantin,

didn't care about Geneva Seal, because they were simply the best.

Reminds us of an mature Lady A tribute to Velliotron !!

Then an upstart begun to focus on the Seal,

so in the 80's and 90's VC began again...........

A tribute to Velliotron !!

A tribute to Velliotron !!

A tribute to Velliotron !!

And please get well soon !

Any questions ask about your recovery just ask old Doc A tribute to Velliotron !!

Hi Doc, I love your taste in vintage watches. Not only are they lovely to look at but many times have a story behind them. Some things grow old, vintage watches are like a fine bordeaux and get better with age. Like your phrase better "mature like a lady". Wear them in good health and hope you keep sharing them with the rest of us.

Doc, I have tears of JOY!!!! :-)

Dear Doc,

Thank You So Much for these beautiful pics of a truly unique and most amazing vintage watch - as you said, the pictures speak for themselves!! A post dedicated to me, I am sincerely touched!

I am getting better everyday – I am back at home (my wife’s food is so much better than the hospital), and the cast has been taken off my left arm, which means I can start wearing watches again (although I did make the vow – and I will keep it - that nothing will grace my wrist before I put on my Malte QP…) Another rgood thing is that I lost 15kilos since the accident and I am basically back at the weight I had at my wedding, which was 2 years ago (my wife is VERY happy about that!) – I guess that gives another meanin to “crash diet”

Your Friend,

Love you!

Someone said I had a story about my watches,

and that's true.

It is nearly as important as the watch

About this I got the story from Maison Vacheron Constantin !

Case and movement are matching.

We started manufacturing the watch in April (!) 1948,

and it was inventory 1949.

Sold to a Mr Rosenwasser in Le Havre France 1952 (!),

at the price of 765 Francs

Thta's an information which is fantastic!

Talk about keeping records of their watches !

That's why I'm hooked at VC,

among other things !

Get well soon,

glad your at home

What kind of "trouble, which I had with some new" you've met?

Fantastic watch, Doc: we are discovering it completely now, after showing it to us through some of your recent posts.

You know how to make us become impatient...

You know what, Doc? You, helped with Alex and some of us, should write a kind of memorandum, gathering as many stories as possible around our beauties, I mean our vintage watches, like you did on your answer.

Your tribute is very sympathic for our friend Velliotron to whom I wish a very quick come back home.

Thats a beautiful tribute...

and Doc, that is definitely my favorite watch in your collection!  Although I really like your Jalouse(sp?) and of course your 1972 in WG.  You are also correct that the story behind a watch can be almost as important as the watch.  I often find the watches that have a story behind them are the ones that stay in my collection, because there is a true conection with those watches.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Velliotron.

Best regards,

Simply stunning, Doc !!!
