Triple Calendar 4241 from the 1940's (question)

Hi everyone.
Does anyone know if the Ref 4241 came in a 4241L (ie with a moonphase)?  Alex refers to the 4241 in his fanstabulous Calendar write up.   The article said there was a 4240 and 4240L (with and without moonphbase).  However the watch I am looking at looks like it has tear drop lugs which is not what the 4240L has but similar to 4241.

Cheers!

Thanks Dean and Alex, This lot 145 is what I expected to see.  However what I have seen being for sale is one where the numerals are at 12, 3 and 9.  Also the handes are dauphine style not as I would expect to see from a vintage VC as shown in this lot 145. Confused!  It is possible as Alex said to me offline that this is a replacement dial and hands. Thanks and Happy Watching! justindependent

V&C often changed dial iconography within a reference series as a way to change the look from year-to-year.
