Just a couple more pics to highlight the beauty of the engraviing work on this watch.  The perlage is simply gorgeous on the black nickel. Two close-ups of the Black Malte Tourbillon...

That is also why I thought that this piece represented a milestone for VC as it began adopting a more contemporary look in their timepieces.  In some respects, I view this watch as the precursor to the Quai de l'Ile.

affordable watches.

This is what I really like about VC and that the other Big 2 don't have: audacity, claciss designs with a twist

probably one of the pieces that got me interested in modern VCs! In

the past I had always been solely interested in vintage VCs with the rare exception such as the Mercator and the Jump Hour. Starting the 250th celebrations I felt a new turn in VC designs not dissimilar to what attracted me to their vintage pieces: bold designs + top notch craftsmanship and the Malte black nickel tourbillon hit the nail right on the head.

A phenomenal piece and hope to see it "in the flesh" in a not too distant future.

As they say, this one is a definite keeper.

While I do not know if VC will repeat this piece or introduce any variations, I do believe that we will see more contemporary pieces from the manufacture in the future.  We will all have many exciting things to look forward to in the years to come.
