Vachero Overseas

Sorry if I write this post in spanish, becouse I dont write  fine in english or french.

From what I got out of the internet translation tool (my Spanish was too basic to get the finer points), it seems that our friend is complaining about a new Overseas that he had just bought recently.  Aparently, it gains 1 minute or so a day.  When he brought up the matter to the shop that sold him the piece, he was told to observe it for a month and if the problem persisted, to send it to the technical center for servicing.  He feels that sending a brand new watch for servicing is simply unacceptable and was of course expecting nothing less than a replacement.  He was really disappointed with the watch and felt swindled by the whole experience.

I hope I got things right.  Sorry to hear about the experience and I hope that an acceptable solution is found asap.

Thank you Kazumi, maybe you can help to translate the answer

I'm sorry to hear your troubles.

However it sometimes takes a few days for the watch to "settle" and function perfectly. However, this applies only if the watch has been bought new and not second hand.

If things are not better within a week you should take it back to the dealer you bought it from and it is his responsability to take care of servicing. Replacement of the watch will depend on the relations you have with your dealer.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the rapid reply.

Of course the watch is new and not second hand.

The dealer only want repair, but I think the watch have only a week. Is not normaly repair a watch with only a week, after I paid arround 8.000 €.

I'm very disappoint and disillusionment with the branch, and looking for solutions.

Hi Pedro, unfortunately a replacement depends on the dealer and

not on the brand and it is the dealer who can decide if he wants to repace the want or not. Where are you located?

I locate in Madrid, Spain.

The dealer takes the money one week ago, and now their solutions is not logic.  I think the brand is upstair the dealer.

I will see what I can do but the trouble is that the dealer is an

independent entity from the brand  and is responsile fo his stock. The other problem is a brand may not accept to replace if the problem comes from the retailer (ie: the watch has been handles with little care orhas been in the store window under hot lights drying the oils up).

How much is your watch loosing per 24 hours?

No happens this examples (ie: the watch has been handles with little care orhas been in the store window under hot lights drying the oils up).

The watch is OK and care......remenber only one week.

The watch is not loosing, the problem is the oposite, win the time around one minute per 24 hours. I think is not normal

thanks

It could be "normal"

gracias Fred :-) (nt)

I've had similar experience with 2 watches (not VC) and different

outcome.

The first watch the date function was not working, I took the watch back to my dealer and he had another watch in stock and gave me replacement. It was a dealer I had been buying a lot from and it was a business gesture. Come to think of it however the 1st watch was certainly repaired and sold as new...which is not really fair on the next custommer

The second time it was a problem with the bracelet and the dealer refused to replace and I had the watch repaired.

It is troublesom buying a new watch which has a problem and I can relate to your frustration but I don't think its the brand which should replace the watch as the problems could be due to handdeling by the dealer. Furthermore a watch gaining 1 min a day is ot a big problem and it can be dealth with very rapidly.

Evaluate this weekend
07/22/2007 - 21:17

I studied the watch this weekend. I,ve got a conclusion:

- On the night the watch dont win or loose time.  Around 8 hours

- On the day, when I,m moving,  the watch gaining 1 minute a day. Around 16 hours

Maybe it's posible know the reason with this evaluate

Hi Pedro, I think the best would be to maybe wait still another
07/22/2007 - 21:59

couple of days and if the watch does not settle just have your dealr send it for servicing as it can be just a small regulation problem which can be dealth within not time at all.

keep us informed....

I'm very unhappy, today my watch win again around 50 seconds.

I'm thinking send to the service, and after sold the watch.

Never I had this kind of problems with the watchs

there could be so many factors not depending on the watch
07/24/2007 - 00:36

its self (one major problem being a watch spending too much time in a store window under hot lights or the wearer's life style) that it would be a shame to let one slightly unfortunate experience turn you away from what is a wonderful watch brand.
