Vacheron Constantin at TimeCrafters Show in NYC: Free Watch Evaluation

The TimeCrafters Show will be held Friday May 13 through Sunday May 15 (11am-6pm) at 643 Park Avenue (Park Avenue Armory), which is just around the corner from the Vacheron Constantin boutique in New York Ctiy. Among others, the following watch companies will be represented:

  • Vacheron Constantin
  • Audemars Piguet
  • Jaeger-LeCoultre
  • A. Lange & Sohne
  • Roger Dubuis
  • Tiffany & Company

However, equally important and relevant to some of the recent discussions on this site,  is the representation by Christie's Auction House. Daily from 1pm to 3pm, they are having complimentary valuation of vintage watches. So, for those of you with questions about the provenance of your Vacheron Constantin, this might be an opportunity to have some pros do it free.

They have serveral different presentations that most watch collectors will find valuable, the Opera Gallery with works by Renoir, Chagall, Picasso, Miro, Dali, Soulages, Mathieu, sculptures from Dali, and Valay Shende--including Dali's famous melting watches draped from a tree—and workshops on different topics. We're planning to go to the opening night preview and cocktail party on Thursday (5/12) and the show on Friday. However, depending on work demands, we may have to forego the visit until Saturday for a day-trip from our home in Connecticut.

Anyway, it'd be wonderful if any of you Hour Loungers are going as well and perhaps we could meet at either the cocktail party or at the Vacheron Constantin booth.
