The Geneva Horological Grand Prix is almost the equivalent to the Oscars for the film industry: recognition and glory.

The first phase of the competition consisted of brands entering watches which they want to be pre selected. Click on the link below to see the watches submitted by VC:

The second phase which just started consists of the jury selecting 10 watches in each category. The final stage which will take place end of November will see the jury vote for one watch in each category.

There will also be a special "public's" prize; you can vote for your favorite watch (see link above) and by doing so enter a draw and win a watch!!

Here are the VC's which have been selected by the Jury

Complicated Watch

VC had entered the caliber 2577 Grand Complication (perpetual calendar, tourbillon minute repeater) as well as the Patrimony Traditionnelle perpetual calendar skeleton but they were not selected by the jury for the final vote. The non selection of the cal 2577 strikes me as really odd!!

Sports Watch

VC had entered the Overseas Dual time but the jury did not select it for the final vote
