Vacheron website problems

Hello all, and congratulations to Alex for putting up this forum.

I wonder if anyone faces the same and can offer me a solution to a problem I have gaining access to the VC website? As soon as I go to the URL, it tells me to download flash player if I cant see an animation (which I cant). After downloading the player with success, I still see the same message. As a result, I have not been able to access the VC website for over a year, which is really sad.

Nope,

All I see is the same message saying download flash yet again. And thats an exercise Ive completed with success a minimum of ten times so far.

In fact its really peculiar, and I often wonder why it is that most watch websites have taken onboard so much flash art on their websites. Ive often seen in many cases these pages arent as efficient or easy to navigate as regular pages.

Strange! Have you tried with another computer? in any event you can

Ahhhh,

Yes. Thanks Alex, thats a good idea. I will try from another pc to see what happens.

I was looking to check if its possible, how to do so and what it could cost me to get a certificate or any other sort of paperwork for my vintage chronometer royal. You have already seen snaps of this same watch of mine years ago when I sent it to you for some info....... when you were moderating the VC forum on purists. Was also keen to look at what their current range includes.

I love that watch!! Did you know that the

Chronometre Royal was one of the very rare watches of the time (other than those for the military) that had stop seconds (thus the BS - Balance Stop in the caliber n° 1008/BS)

To answer your question a certificate of origin costs quite a sum: approx 1000 Swiss Francs and the watch needs to be sent in for examination. However my understanding is that VC is currently working on a new more affordable pricing for these certificates. I'll keep you posted.

I knew its somewhat rare. And its surely amongst my favourites of all the watches in my family. Do please ell me anything else u know about its kind.

And whoaaaa,

thats far too much for papers- specially here where I collect- in India- where the conversion makes that the price I could buy another good watch for. I could possibly even get two good vintage 18k Omega's for that kind of money.

Chronometre Royal and shall post it soon.

The price is definately very high but VC is working on a new more affordable pricing and I'll let you know as soon as I have more info.
