Anyway, her watch had to be exactly like the one J. Kennedy-Onassis had,
and it took me four years to find the one.
It's not the 'American' which is not so elegant, instead it's the genuine classic,
and it's not as most women watches are, a quartz,
because at Jackie's and Grace Kelly's time, the world was quartz-free 'Vanity Fair' and tell me your wife's favourite watch !!

Back to the magazine my friends

as you see I placed my wife's watch on the article, it's got a lovely blue suede (!) strap,
which is not seen at any of these pics, but it highlights the blue sapphire cabochon at the crown!
Delicious.

My wife's favorite is a V&C, naturally

My brain-washing attempts have actually worked!  It's a 1953 ref. 4310 with cal 466/3B.  I just sent it in to V&C for a full service and Certificate of Authenticity.  She has 4 watches altogether and this one is her favorite. The other 3 include an Omega DeVille Co-Axial Chrononometer that she uses as a casual/daily watch.  The other 2 watches are quartz: 1. a Bulova with all titanium band and case (Daisy used to be very sensitive/allergic to metal alloys and the titanium was a godsend.  Her health has gotten much better over the years and she is more resistant than in the past) and 2. a Winnie the Pooh watch, which is our 7 year old nephew most definitely believes is her best watch. :-) BR, Dan
Dan it's lovely but I said it before :-) nt

To be honest, I think these are the best views of Penelope that I've ever seen.  I never thought she that good looking in her movies, at awards shows, or anywhere else that I've seen her image. For those that think I'm crazy and want to prove me wrong, just go ahead and try.  Make my day and post even better pictures of Ms. Cruz
No VCs for my wife...

I bought her instead a few pieces from the competition... She's got a PP Twenty-4 SS Anthraite dial, and a JLC Master Ultra Thin. When I bought her the Twenty-4 (that was 6 years ago), I did consider getting her a VC OS for ladies, but as much as I wanted my lady to have a VC, I did find the PP much classier. If I get her a VC, I think now it would have to be from the Egerie line. Good topic Doc! Cheers, Francois
Francois, please a pic !! nt

.
What's good with this magazine,
10/16/2009 - 13:33
is that it sometimes have very beautiful pictures, of beautiful ladies but also of art, watches and Mother Nature. I'm so old that I prefer beautiful ladies with clothes on. Ans I must say as our friend in China, I think she is more beautiful at these pics than in the movies Please Ladies and Genlemen enjoy the weekend! Here it's blowing hard, when I look at the sea, raining and only +3°C brrr... Doc

This is a really fun and interesting post, my firend. Your wife's Cartier is really special with calibre 1001 beating inside it - a true classic As to my wife's favorite pieces she has a few with Breguet Marine, Cartier Pasha and Cartier Santos 100 (all men sizes) being on top of their list. I laso know what's onher agenda next - a Cartier Ballon de Bleu man's size...
