VC boutique special editions in Singapore

Few days ago I made a trip to the VC Singapore boutique to look at some VC boutique special editions. I only have 1 VC watch, my Traditionelle in rose gold and I thought if I want a 2nd VC it should be a boutique special edition or limited edition to be more "special" :)

Hence I started my quest in the Singapore boutique.

The VC Singapore boutique has a pretty good selection of boutique specials and here are some photos to share.

Ranging from the magnificent Metiers d'Art pieces, amongst which I especially like the LE 12 pieces year of the Horse watch (becos I am born in the year of the Horse). The enameling work and crafting of the horse in rose gold is extremely impressive even though I find such a watch will sit in my safe more than on my wrist as it's very ornamental. Looking at such a watch under the loop made me appreciate the finest craftsmanship from VC and I could appreciate why the watch is priced accordingly. These watches are so limited they are selling out very fast in Asia from what I heard from the VC staff.

The other boutique edition VC I like was a much more simple watch, a rose gold black dial VC Patrimony. Pure elegance yet some fun with the black dial (which goes very well with the rose gold). Unfortunately l felt it was a tad big for my small wrist being at 40mm and very flat (the Horse watch was also 40mm but being much thicker it sat better on my wrist somehow), a bit like a "pancake" on the wrist. Sigh... I really like this boutique special Patrimony to be honest...

My quest for a 2nd VC continues and I shall be patient :)

Meanwhile some eye candies to share! :)

and thank you Jaslyn from VC Singapore boutique for letting me try on these lovely boutique specials.

I was using an iPhone to post the above and didn't realize all the paragraphing was messed up.

Alex if you could edit my post for formatting that will be great thank you

Hi Robin, I took care of the formatting ;-) (nt)

I too love that Patrimony. I want that exact whatch in WG or Platinum, but still with black face.

One interesting observation is that the NY boutique told me they did not allow photography in the boutique. Maybe she was mistaken or it is Ht eny boutique's policy, not VC's. Anyway, thank you for the great pictures they are beautiful.

My pleasure to share here :)

Yeah white precious metal with a black dial looks very nice on a patrimony too for sure. I am not sure if such a reference exists - I suspect it does but Dan or Alex or someone more experienced can better advise.

No photos in VC boutique?? Not that I heard of unless for bespoke pieces where the design belongs to the customer only

JB has that exact dream Patrimony you want !

Really? Perhaps he can be persuaded to post a photo

I don't recall seeing it, although I may have. His collection is rather hard to keep track of!  The Moscow Boutique editions are perhaps some of my favorite VC's of any recent vintage - especially the BI-retrograde (of course) and the perpetual. The combination of black dial and white metal is just beautiful.

Great pics Robin, thanks for sharing your visit!

I have a thing for the "LIzards"!  It is one of my favorite of the Escher collection, along with the "Fish".  BR, Dan

I remember your love for the lizards!

Since watches and wonders last year :)

i prefer the horsemen. Unfortunately I didn't get to see it at the Singapore boutique the last trip. That is an amazing watch! The gold and mother of pearl on the dial is amazingly detailed.

I just replied to this post. It got submitted. And now it is

Thanks for sharing Robin. I bought my VC at the MBS boutique

and each time I visit Singapore, I make it a point to visit them.  It is a very warm and welcoming environment.

I love the Patrimony Contemporaine in Black Dial. It is the prettiest black dial dress watch out there.

Also, I love the Chinese Zodiac piece. I love the movement on this one. Probably the finest alternative time display movement by a top brand.

Agree Kunal!

The VC Singapore boutique is a very warm and friendly place for collectors.

the black dial pink gold patrimony is to die for... If only it were 1 or 2 mm smaller :)

Robin, if it were 1 or 2 mm thinner, then I do not think the magic

of the black dial would be as much. Maybe it would work for the regular PG / YG version dials.  On the upside, 1 or 2 mm thinner could mean a transparent caseback.

VC does have a smaller version for ladies with a transparent caseback and side diamonds.  Perhaps the Les Atelier Cabinotiers division could be persuaded to do a black dial on the ladies size (with transparent caseback) but without the diamonds.

agreat pieces but the black dial rose gold Patrimony is my fav :-)

Same for me Alex !

The black dial rose gold patrimony was my favorite that night too. If it were 1 or 2 mm smaller, I might have pulled the trigger then! :)

Thanks for taking us along

It is really special to get some live photos of the Horse watch in particular.  But your tray shot with the five VCs n a row is quite something.  It is so rare to be able to see several of those pieces alone let alone in a group like this.

I would be happy to take home any one of those watches, but the black dialed pink gold Patrimony really gets to me.

Pleasure Robert!

Yeah I was impressed the Singapore VC boutique has so many boutique special pieces - these are rather rare ones, especially the Horse with only 12 pieces!
