I am a lurker here and this is my first post, so please be gentle with me
With VC now accepting orders for bespoke watches, I was wondering if there is any interest here in asking VC to re-creating a run of, say, 200 pieces of the vintage Cioccolatone Moonphase, using the Toledo 1952 as a "base", for the members of this forum?
I have always been a fan of the vintage version, and many times found myself almost pulling the trigger on a Toledo (especially with the introduction of the pink gold model), but never did because the modern version somehow never quite did it for me. While I would love to own the original, the price is prohibitive for me, even if I can find one in the first place, so this would be the next best thing.
Such a re-issue to my mind should be as faithful to the original as possible. E.g. skip the guilloche dial and go for the clean silvered dial with applied number/baton markers). And one in pink gold please. Plus the moonphase aperture should be a simple cut-out as per the moonphases of yore, without the additional blue on the dial, and a melancholic man on the moon please. Red day and month letters, but blue numerals for the dates and date pointer with a steel shaft and red arrowhead. I can go on and on but finer details of the design can be agreed at a later stage...
Am I alone here or do some of you share my interest?
