VC galore at Sotheby's Geneva Sale Nov 13 (in the flesh scans) Part 1

WOW WOW and WOW Sotheby's has really outdone themselves this time for their Geneva Nov 13 auction. There is a large selection of Vacheron Constantin's with something for everybody but having had a chance to see the pieces for sale here is a selection of my favorites

The photos are not optimal due to bad lighting and my bad photoshop skills :-)

Lot 26

Circa 1952 Estimate CHF 10 000- 15 000

Probably one of my favorites and I may actually bid on it. Love the case and lugs, extremely modern. The subtle guillochage on the dial is lovely and to top it all it has an automatic bumper movement cal 477

Part 2 for tomorrow :-)

Is the Cioccolatone in a condition as good as in your pictures?

It looks amazing and remains my all time vintage favorite Vacheron... The estimate seems quite reasonable on this piece but I am afraid auction houses often keep the estimates on a low side to beef up the interest in bidding. Might be the case with this rare beast (or a beauty)

Thank you, Dean. I see you've already registered...

Are you eyeing some of the beauties yourself? the lever deck for example or do you already have one of those?

There are a few desirable auctions this month angel.
Two for me

There are two in this auction that are of particular interest to me - one in this post and one that I suppose will be in part two. I am not saying which just yet (will say that Lot 26 is not one of them), but I am registered, so we shall see . . .
Is The Don upset with Luca ;-(

How about Lot #175? I have never seen or knew of a White Gold - Black Dial version.

Some very nice pieces, Alex. But i don't think I'll be bidding on anything, just following the action. Joseph
good to hear that you'll not be bidding...

...you do need a breather...wink
Very nice selection...

Like Radek, I do like the Cioccolatone (although the gold bracelet doesn't do it for me - I would put a chocolate brown leather strap on it)... But, if I had some watch money available, I would bid instead on one of the Jubile from the Antiquorum auction - preferably the platinum one (the first VC to have a platinum dial, essentially the 'father' of the Excellence Platine collection), but I could live with the RG one as well...
