VC introduces new Patrimony Contemporaine Boutique Edition

Two new versions of the Patrimony Contemporaine: manual wind (with inhouse caliber 1400) and automatic (with inhouse caliber 2450) in rose gold with black dial will be available in the different the Vacheron Constantin boutiques. These watches which are not limited editions but only be obtained at the boutiques.

If interested check VC's web site at to see if there is a boutique near you.

On a more personnal note I have to admit that I love this combination... its wicked!! I particularly like the fact that the date disc on the automatic model is also black.

Vacheron Constantin definately hit a home run here, put a dark brown strap and you have a killer!

All I ask...
05/24/2007 - 13:09
is that VC open up a Boutique here in the US. Black dials and RG cases make for a gorgeous combination. Bill
I wouldn't be surprised if a

VC boutique would open sometime in the near future on 5th or Madison in NY...I'm just guessing so don't quote me

Any plans to open one in Paris? (nt)
05/24/2007 - 13:22

I know that they're looking but the problem is
05/24/2007 - 13:29

that the location they are contemplating currently has no vacancies. It would be logical if you consider that almost every major brand has a flagship store in Paris

I think that there is a trend in the industry for brands to open boutiques in the major capitals of the world.

I usually dislike RG with black dial....
05/24/2007 - 13:11

but i like them.

I much prefer the manual wind version.

No more talking, got to have one !

BTW, Alex wasn't Doc right on your little contest??

I think it looks very alike the date on the watch you set up a contest for :-)

At least I should have one of the first one's tanks to my guess !

Excellent guess Doc, yes you were right and you win a

big pat on the back

Thanks Alex. I don't usually favour black dial / RG watches, but with this new boutique edition manual wind version, I might just change my mind.

Good to have you on board Vernon. I'm not a fan of RG/black dials

either I've already started saving for this one .

Thanks a lot for the welcome Alex...

I try my best not to come here too often because it's sooo bad for my bank account!  But seriously, I do hope to be able to catch a glimpse of this beauty sometime soon in the near future...

These are very attractive. Although I am not a fan of black dial on such dress watches, I must admit that these 2 VC's do look very attractive. They look much better than the black dial PP Calatrava's, which would not even get a second glance if it were not for the PP name on the dial.

Is VC planning to make a boutique edition for its Patrimony Small Second as well?

Don't know about the Patrimony small seconds at least not this year (n

I like the auto

The Malte Chrono with black dial woud also be a killer

Thanks, Alex!

I can imagine the presence the combination of the black dial and gold case must have when seen in the metal.  Definitely an option to consider.

Now, if only VC had a boutique in Japan.  VC has been coming up with LE's for the Japanese market every year so it is surprising that they do not have a boutique here.  I guess they are already doing well with their current retail network here.

chance you should happen on the VC boutique and your wife so happy with her trip may even consider buying it for you

Yes, that's a good idea but...
05/25/2007 - 03:19

Yes, that's a good idea but with my hand-to-mouth budget, buying a watch and taking the family to Singapore are mutually exclusive scenarios!  Actually, the wife herself has her eyes set on a much more expensive Patek, so its  going to be a tough contest (or no contest at all!).

But seriously, I must admit that, on the regular models, I am more attracted to the manual winding version due to the color of the dial (even though the automatic does have good width-to-thickness proportions).  However, judging only from these images, I think this combination seems to complement the automatic a little better than its manual winding sister.  Of course the black dial should make both of these 40mm pieces look smaller than they really are, and I am reserving final judgment for when I see them in the metal.  Any photos of the actual watches?

Wouldn't it be nice to have the boutique version automatic and the excellence platine hand wound?  Oh well... I hope VC can also supply them to "Malte Guild" member retailers here.

I'll be in Geneva in the comming weeks and will try to take "in the

I want one of each. Gorgeous in both their simplicity and modern

Bravo Vacheron

You are right about the brown strap
05/24/2007 - 20:11

This is definitely a handsome piece :)

Exceptionally successful combination
05/24/2007 - 22:14

Beautiful timepieces .

I like the hand winding Patrimony.
05/25/2007 - 05:04

The colour combination is  my cup of tea.  However, I don't personally favour the automatic patrimony as aesthetically, the date window spoils it.  It is too close to the center of the dial due to its relatively small movement.  It is like you have a mole at the wrong part of your face.

The manual wind is perfect
05/25/2007 - 11:40

the perfection.

Maybe the first Gold watch for which I would .... fall in love !

Great inspiration. Thank's Vacheron.
