VC Mercator

Hi Alex,
I am trying to find info about the VC Mercator watch. Unfortunately there is nothing on VC website.
Is this watch still in production ? where to find it ? what is the movement & other specs...
Any info is welcome.
All the best

Thibaut

Unless I've lost count... Now your VC collection is pretty well balanced between sporty to dress... Congrats! Cheers, Veillotron

I think that there are quite a few Loungers that have a Mercator...  It is also the favorite VC watch of our dear moderator Alex... I would give him the nickname of Mr Mercator, if it wasn't for the fact that Jerome has already taken the title. I know very little about the Mercator collection, but I'm sure a lot of the Loungers will be able to help you better than I. You can also use the search function - putting in Mercator is going to lead you to a bunch of interestign posts. Oh, and welcome to the Lounge... Veillotron

The Mercator is for me what truly symbolises VC and its the 1st watch that comes to my mind whan thinking of VC. Welcome to the Lounge and an even greater welcome to a Mercator fan

I read the post about VC's alternative time display; the merctor production stopped in 1994 right? I imagine most of the watches have been sold out? Regarding the blog, when will you publish the part II?
no, production started in 1994 and stopped in 2004. I have't seen a

single Mercator in shop windows for quite some time. However there are some which pop up occasionnaly at auctions. If you search the net you may find one second hand. Good luck in the hunt! Part 2 should be up in a couple of weeks.
