VC in the mid 50s

I have been looking around at some vintage watches and they mostly tend to have very small cases.  I like the aesthetic of the vintage watch and the charm that goes with an ageing process but being 6"7 a 32mm watch is just too small for me.

I noted that some of the VC, or V&C as they were then, have 36mm cases, which is still small by today's standard but I guess rather substantial for the time.  Would 36mm have been considered "over-sized" at the time?

Are these watches suitable as daily wearers?

Feedback would be appreciated.

Thx
T

In addition to the models that Alex has shown, there has been several threads regarding the oversized, or XXL, wrist watches of the 1950s and 60s.
