VC new website. If not already done so, please do visit the... website. Interactive and beautiful photography. The timepieces just come to life. Also, the beloved Toledo has been discontinued it seems.
So is the original see-through QdI??? If so :-((( (nt)

I hope not...I love the see through QDI. It is on my wish list...

And I must say it has aged well. I would like to see a new interpretation of the Malte Dual Time Regulator and Triple Calendar as on the Toledo. Alex, hope this counts as a suggestion box? :-)

versions but no longer as regular production
Ok. That's interesting. Its interesting how when the QDL

was launched, personalisation was not available for the time date only piece, but now is the only option.  The new site is addictive, I cannot get enough of it. And what brilliant photography.  The 1921 and Patrimony Contemporaine have never looked better.  And best of all you can copy images...

Sorry for the 'virtual shouting', but what is this all about? WHY??? Thankfully, I already have my QdI with transparent dial, but it saddens me to see one of the 2 key definining features of the original watch being pushed aside... ...hopefully (maybe???), the transparent dial will be used in other collections (such as the OS?)
Close-up views of the calibers...

This is a nice addition to the web site.  Great job, Vacheron!
This is by far the best watch website I have ever seen...

...and I must have gone on most at some point or the other.  I cannot get enough of this website, and it has reached a point where my wife is a bit concerned !
Thanks for the heads up...

...whoa, this is some serious upgrade! I love the uber-close shots...
If you look closely, several models in the Malte collection have

Been discontinued. These include the original tonneau Tourbillon skeleton version, Malte Moon phase and power reserve, and Malte dual time. Also Toledo in Historiques collection. Alex, is something interesting brewing? Seems like it. :-)
Not sure if there's something brewing, or if it is just VC

'cleaning' out the Malte collection. The Company has been very focused on establishing a clear identity for each line - it is the main reason why VC discountinued a few years back the round Malte case... Having 3-4 different shapes of tonneau case did not make a lot of sense from a 'line identity' perspective, and so bye-bye went a few of the older models... VC should update its stable of Malte models, but my guess is that it will be done over a longer period than we would like to see. Every SIHH must have a 'theme' / key message: 2013 was about ladies watches, 2012 was about the reinvention of the Malte collection... I would be surprised if the focus for 2014 was again put on the Malte collection. Therefore I would say expect maybe one or two new models, but not much more - this is of course all pure speculation from my part
Francois you have a keen eye and have hit the nail on the head!
