VC Overseas Chronometer-Blue Arabic Dial

I have above mention watch, which gives so much pleasure for me. I bought it some time ago second hand. I have seen on the intenet, that this watch only was made for the US market an only in 75 pieces.  I have never seen this watch anywhere else but my own arm.

My watch left danish dealer in 2003 as a new watch.

Anybody who knows a little more about this watch?

Except ,

that it was made in 1999,

You seems to know the most already.

I don't know if it's cal. 1301 based on GP cal. 3100,

or the later Piguet based cal.1185,

but please, send a pic of this rare beauty :-)

Not much to add. The watch was made only for the US market in 1999 and
05/13/2007 - 14:21

made in 75 pieces, however it was neither marked as a limited edition nor marketed as such! I kinnda like the concept of limited editions which do not announce themselves as such.

The movement is the same as the other OS chronometers (cal 1310) and based on a Girard Perregaux ebauche.

Its probably one of the rarest OS models setting aside the unique left hand model!

Please post a scan.

BTW how did it end up at your AD if not based in the US???

Henrik, there was one for sale in California in March of this year. Listed on a very popular watch selling site for used watches. It was the first time I had ever seen that beautiful blue dial. It is very unique. Best, Tim
its a lovely dial and a true collector's piece. I wish VC would

introduce a dial with similar numerals for the actual version of the Overseass.

Wear it in the best of health

They made an OS chronograph,

with these numerals in 1999, I think it was,

even a YG !

Yes it was a steel model with so called Millitary dial (nt)
