WOW Mark, just a few hours after VC wins the award you post the results! There are some die hard fans out there The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie of Geneva each year rewards watches in different categories chosen by a jury composed of international journalists. It definately is one of the major highlights of the year for the industry and aficionados. The event took place at the Geneva Grand Theatre which was specially lit up for the occasion  Inside after a few introductory speaches from the mayor of Geneva and the hosts it was time to get to business. A little cartoon drawing on a screen above the stage announced the categories, here the Best Men's Watch Award: The two finalists were Vacheron Constantin for the Quai de l'Ile and Van Cleef & Arpels for Midnight in Paris And the winner is.....Quai de l'Ile Juan-Carlos Torres stepped on stage to recieve the award and gave an excellent speach thanking the teams at Vacheron Constantin which have made the company what it is today. The charming lady on the left is Miss Switzerland

L'Aiguille d'Or, given to FP Journe, is the prize for the overall best watch. How come this watch wasn't in the finalists for best men's watch as well? I guess I'm trying to understand if VC won the 2nd best prize, or if it won the equivalent of the UEFA Cup, while a group of other watches were figthing for the Champions League Cup (sorry for the football analogy...) By the way, I have to say that Miss Switzerland is more photogenic than Charlie

the Aiguilles d'Or supposedly awards a complicated and innovative
