VCOS US

I know you guys are probably getting tired of seeing my new “toys”.
But here we go again with the penultimate VC acquisition.
I have had an Overseas Chrono with white dial for a few years and always have found it the epitome of a sports chronograph. The VC bracelet as well is a beautiful design and extremely comfortable, as those who own one will agree.
But after seeing the US special edition OS Chrono, I was smitten. It did take almost a year to make a decision though. But here it is, only a few pics, however. In some I have tried to emphasize the tstured dial, not an easy task :-(
I do especially want to thank Bill Lind. As you know the watch comes with a leather (croc) and a rubber strap but not a bracelet.
Bill was able to get one of those beautiful bracelets that I love in time for my visit to the Boston area last weekend.

I am a little beat jalous!
Now I understand

Joseph, now I understand your discussion of the OS water-resistance wink.  Congratulations and welcome to the Overseas Club yes.  I'm looking forward to your bathtub review, but remember no vigorous strokes!
Thanks, Dean, I have had the white dial for a couple of years.

A brother says hello

Congratulations, Joseph!  Obviosuly, I think this is an outstanding addition to your collection.  I love the lume shot -- I have noticed that the lumed hour markers outline the 8 outer corners of the Croix de Maltese.  Nice touch, VC! Joseph, this is the VC that gets the most wrist time from me.  It is such a good daily companion and ready to go anywhere anytime.  I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Now, what is next?!?!? Warm regards, Robert
Thanks, BOB

Glad to be of help.

Joseph, second best isn't good enough...
10/11/2012 - 23:02
Joseph -  you've demonstrated that with your excellent photographs! The lighting and the mood setting cuts through in no small measure. The OS is immensely stylish and utterly fitting to be your penultimate VC acquisition. I'm waiting to be convinced!wink Best wishes Tony
Tony, you are too kind
10/11/2012 - 23:44
Many thanks for your kind words. I believe you will be convinced! Regards, Joseph

Hi Miki, It's been quite a while! I hope all is well. Thank you for your very kind sentiments. I'm blushing! But coming from you, it's quite a compliment. All the best, Joseph
I never get tired seeing your new addtions

I guess I am a watch "voyeur" devilwink But for you, I think we need to change what many watch forums have in terms of "What Are You Wearing" this week to "What Have You Bought" this week.  laughcheeky Nice addition to your collection, the black dial does make it quite different. yes An older brother says hello: A couple of quick and dirty wrist shot "hommages" to the last picture of your post The half Maltese Cross bracelet was brilliantly conceived and implemented IMO.  I wish it could have been retrofitted onto my Gen. 1 OS, but I always want everything. The luminova fades quite quickly on my two OS (they are 12 & 16 years old).  I wish VC could reapply it when they do maintenance, but that is not an option. Best Regards, Dan
Thanks, Dan

Congratulations Joseph,

If not already, then in a short time you are going to become a legenedary watch collector with that speed you are getting "new toys" from Vacheron Constantin.  Best wishes for you and the watch that now belongs to a true connoisseur. Yours sincerely Kent.
Kent, you very much

for your kind and flattering words. I looking forward to the opportunity of sharing our mutual passion face to face sometime soon. Warm regards, Joseph
