Vintage VC chrono movements

Hi all,

I decided to hunt a vintage VC chrono, and to start the process i read carefully the "Quarted Millenium of Vacheron Constantin". I saw 3 types of movements available :

13" caliber 434 with 30' counter
13" caliber 295 (or R. A. 295 that is suppose identical) with 45' or 30' counter
13" 492 (or V 492 or 492 VC that is suppose identical) with 30' counter

Looking in my specialized book i found that the picture of movements are very cloas to the UNIVERSAL 281.

Am i right ?
What are the calibers used really ?
Can a caliber with the same reference correspond to 2 different functions (45' or 30' minutes counter) ?.

Thansk for your answer.

I was looking all over for a pic of the calibre 295 to compare with a franken piece of junk currently listed on fleabay.  Your fantastic article on VC chronographs had just what I needed.  Thanks!!
