Visited the NYC Boutique today

A lovely experience.  Great to see such a nice range of the collection in one place.  So many nice pieces.

I did, however, also have to stop into a local AD, because the boutique has a "no photograph" policy.  Seems a bit like an odd policy, but I can imagine that if pictures were allowed it could create a large influx of people not buying them that wanted to just get a picture for the Instagram account - or something.

Anyway, I was scouting the Bi-Retrograde and the Patrimony Contemporaine Date.  I did grab a couple pictures at the AD.  They are absolutely gorgeous in person.  These examples are covered in the protective plastic still and the shots were not really composed.  I figured that "wristies" are always good.

Note that on the Contemporaine that line across the 8 and 9 o'clock positions near the center is not a hair - it is a scratch in the plastic cover.  The one at 7 and 8 o'clock near the bezel... well, I have to take the blame for that one.

I must say though, that the Bi-retrograde has probably just leapt to the front of the queue after seeing it on my wrist.  I love that watch.

Thanks for the photos. I used to hate the Bi-retrograde and now just

...even before the Amercian 1921.  That is a superb watch to have in your sights.

It is always nice to spend some time at the NY Boutique, or as I call it, "my happy place."

Thanks for sharing the experience and the photos.
