Was told my watch is fake, with no real explanation

Would really appreciate some help here. I've always believed this watch to be real. It belonged to my Dad, along with a few other watches. I'm in a situation now, where I don't have any choice but to sell them. I want to move back home desperately. My question is, do all vacherons have serial numbers? and where would it be located? I don't mind posting a photo if needed.

Thank you

Glad you found your way here

There are far to many variables, and just to start I would wonder if you are discussing a contemporary or vintage piece.  Best that you post complete pictures including front, back, movement, and markings on the inside of case back.  This may require a watchmaker to open it up if you aren't able to do this.  If its an obvious fake, a look at the dial will suffice.  Also please be aware that we don't discuss sales here, but there are many other places for that.

Hi Tick-Talk, Thank you so much for replying.   I haven't found my way around just yet. I have taken some scans and pictures of the watch in question but they really do not show the watch as well as they should. When held in the light, can see the tiny gemstones much better than they appear in the pictures. And I failed to show the "swiss made" located under the 6 position. Some of the pictures look as if the metal has damage to it, when it's perfectly smooth. I also weighed the watch, if that helps any I don't know, I just read somewhere that it did. I will resize pictures as needed and post as soon as i find that information.

Thank you

Thanks, I read the guide and none of it applies. The watch was left to me, not given to me. And the watch has no rust or scratches and seems to work fine. It hasn't been touched for years, Ive had it for 12, but it has no trouble working again after being handled for seconds. What I need is a definitive way of finding out. Also I don't know if this helps, but it weighs 88g.

Thanks :)

its fake because Vc never made such a model, the balance in fron is not a tourbillon even if made to

look like one (use search function here to see what a VC tourbillon looks like) and the movement is horrible (also use search to see what a VC movement looks like or check out the VC web site)

Thank you Alex :) That's Interesting, It does look like the tourbillon but obviously not exactly. I'm worried now that my other watches will also be fake. Do fake watches have any value?

no value at all !

It actually looks like a mix between the tourbillon and the overseas chronograph after investigating further.

Thank you for the info Alex. :)
